I love the under dog who endures rejection by 43 publishing houses but tenaciously persists because he knows he has something great to offer the world. I love it when peolple know they have a super great gift to offer the world and they don't let other peoples oponions, criticisms or rejections discourage them. I love it when the little boy kills the giant, I love it when the fried chicked recipe that was rejected by countless cookbooks and restaurants becomes known and loved all over the world as Kentucky Fried. I love it when the kid from the ghetto grows up to be a surgeon, an author and run for president. Here's to those who persist and prevail, against all odds.
I have 12 chicken's, I'm looking forward to fresh eggs. I perfer them not to be green when I crack them open.
When I was younger I enjoyed reading this because of all the rhymes. I mostly enjoyed the book because my elementary teacher made the green eggs and ham, and I thought it would be nasty because everything was green. Every since iv'e read it it has been one of my favorite books.
He was actually being very rational by refusing to eat green eggs and ham because they were probably spoiled. I believe that Sam I Am was starting to become delusional because he ate the spoiled green eggs and ham, therefore making him pester the other character.
I think this book is about trying new things. Once he tried them he liked green eggs and ham. It’s also an allegory on how stubborn or “set” people and their opinions are. Why would someone say they didn’t like something if they never actually tried it. Is it just out of habit or fear? On a side note, I have a friend who only eats chicken when she goes out to eat. I think it’s sad because she’s missed out on so many other delicious dishes. But for her, it’s comforting to order the same thing.
Yes, we’re all different.
It must be hard coming up with those rhymes all the time though.… he must be a very good rhymer to make all those rhymes too!
