Laura Sullivan | 2 comments Help Please! I remember reading a series of books as a child (1980s-1990s). It was in the vein of the "Tomb Raider" video games/"Indiana Jones". A young aristocratic woman inherits her family's fortune and goes on adventures. Seems to be in the early 20th century or Victorian age. Her Butler/Guardian is the narrator of the stories. She has an arch nemesis who resembles Professor Moriarty from Sherlock Holmes. I remember one book takes place in Egypt and one in the United States. I LOVED this series as a child but cannot remember the name. I've searched the internet but have come up with nothing. Please help!

Mir | 805 comments Could it be Llyod Alexander's Vesper Holly series? They all have titles "The [name of location] Adventure." Eg, The Illyrian Adventure
