Mom says I'll receive money for my late fees once I start going to the library on a regular basis so she knows I won't get any more fees and her money won't be wasted....it'll be hard but I can do it! I want to do it!

What do you mean? Like you have late fees but she won't pay them? Why?
Because the reason why I got late fees was because I was too afraid to go to the library because of something that happened, and I never returned my books on time. Mom says if I want to pay it off and thus get more books, I have to prove I'm not afraid to go to the library anymore.

I started watching Alderamin on the Sky and I love it! It's a shame it's so short!
What is that?
An anime, but it was originally based on a book, which I want to read since apparently they changed the anime's ending from the book. It's about a fantasy world inspired by the Russian Empire, and the main characters live in war-torn Kyrgyzstan, on their way to take a special test to see what positions they'll get in the army. However, their ship sinks with the royal Kyrgyz princess on-board, but they manage to save her and send her back home through Russian-occupied lands.
As a reward, the princess makes them her official royal guard, much to the annoyance of the main character, Ihkan, who hates the war his parents died fighting in and wants nothing more but to laze around. The rest of the anime follows him and his friends training and honing their own separate skills to eventually participate in the war themselves.
Sounds awesome!!
Yeah, but apparently the book had more character development and focused more on the politics of the war and countries, and the characters actually looked ethnic from the nation-in the anime they look like regular anime characters. It's also not specifically said what nation it is, but in the book they lived on some kind of tropical island. Not to mention the different endings:

You don't want to watch anime, and I don't know how easy it would be to find the book. It was originally published as Glass Empire in the Sky or something, not under the anime name.
No, I don't want my FAMILY to know about my interest in it, so I'm waiting until I live alone.
Because if I live alone, I can watch as much anime as I want and no one will be able to stop me!!

It's early in the morning, which means I'm feeling depressed again. Sometimes I wish my friends on here didn't have such a sporadic schedule, I really want to talk to one of them....but they probably wouldn't care anyway, or know how to solve my problem. I don't even know how to solve my problem.
I wish I could solve problems... but that's far from my area of expertise...all I can do is just listen. :\

At least, until her cousins whom she hadn't seen in five years literally show up out of nowhere and announce they'll be spending the summer with them. Which should be fun....except the main girl realizes her cousins have grown up and they have nothing in common anymore! Can she survive this summer with her sanity intact?

So basically I got really bored earlier this morning and read the entire history of all of Sera's and Haaley's characters, like for every single one of them because some of them I hadn't read before and since I had nothing else to do I thought 'why not?' Plus it's fun to know the history of the school and stuff. But then as usual I got jealous and felt like an outsider since all their characters have really detailed, intricate histories with each other, and of course their really long histories with the school and stuff. Mine pretty much just came out of nowhere, and I feel bad when my characters date or befriend their characters since I just feel like I'm intruding on a really long history and family tree.
And I know I technically am an outsider in the group, but that doesn't make me feel much better. My characters aren't very good, and even the character I made who's supposed to be the daughter of one of the 'major' characters, her mother is like never mentioned anywhere so I feel like that character is really pointless.
I just hate feeling left-out of stuff and that I'm intruding on a really detailed backstory....like I don't know that'd be like if someone walked into one of MY novels and tried to make another character in the novel and tried to make them fit into the story. Even if they did a really good job, it'd still feel weird since they weren't really around to plan out the rest of the novel, you know?
I'm sorry, I know I'm weird and selfish and get jealous easily....but if I didn't tell someone I'd probably do something drastic I'd regret...
I feel the exact same way, Elizabeth. I look at their characters and then I look at mine and I feel inferior. I feel like I'll never be good enough or worthy of RP with them. I mean..Chasity's history is three of four posts for Pete's sake! All of my characters have tiny little blips of information and I can't even follow that always. Believe it or not, Sera and Haaley didn't know each other before UU. I found that mind boggling, but it's true. It's crazy how fast they connected and started working on characters connected with each other and I feel like I don't belong there.

Well I want something like that. I want to make a bunch of characters with someone so we can think of ideas together. All my previous collabs in that group have all been forgotten about, not like it would've made much of a difference anyway. I'm just sick of feeling like an outsider all the time in that group. I already feel like that sometimes in real life, I don't need to feel like that here too.
And now one of my characters in that group is pregnant, but I feel like after a while I'm not going to be happy with that anymore....
I know we talked about that one collab...and I never got around to doing ANYTHING and I'm incredibly mad at myself for not working on it. I let you and Sera down because I'm lazy.I still feel like an outsider there too. Two of the strongest bonds I have with people there are you and Sera, and with Sera we've bonded in other groups quite a bit, possibly moreso than in UU. I guess I'm tryign to say I still feel like an outsider after all this time? I don't know. WHat I do know is I want to try and do something for you.
Sera forgot too, but I'll never forgot. I was genuinely looking forward to that collab and was going to eventually do it myself if you two never remembered. Do what for me? I'll still feel like an outsider no matter what I do with bad characters who have nothing to do with the main characters, and the only one who does has a mother who isn't even mentioned by any of them.
And I had fun imagining what kind of creature she would be since I thought it looked unique

I'd like to try again, but we'll have to ask Sera and see if she wants to again. If not we can just make the two siblings again. I have no idea what she'll say, I think she's busy planning out my character's pregnancy haha. I don't know what that thing would be. I just don't want to feel like an outsider anymore. I want my own characters to have really long backstories with other people's characters, which will never happen since they dropped in out of pretty much nowhere. And most of them have pretty much the same personality anyway.
