SOLVED. kids chapter book about a boy whose dog died and the dog's ghost visited him [s]

I read this book as a kid and I'd like to find it again. The boys dog died so they buried him in a cemetary. The dogs ghost would visit him at night. I remember the cover had a ghost dog on it that looked like a rottweiler or mastiff type dog. Thanks in advance for any help.

No I don't think that was it, I'm pretty sure this was a larger chapter book and it was fiction and was one story. thanks though!

A couple of the descriptions sound like they could be it but none of the are the cover I remember. This is driving my crazy! Lol

Yea I know I tried looking them up on Google images to see if I could find the older cover but no luck...I guess I'll be reading a lot this summer! Lol thanks!

I seem to remember it being about a pet cemetary but it wasn't the Steven king book it was a kids book
