Husti | 2 comments Hi fellow librarians,

I'm back to Goodreads from a long hiatus, so please forgive me if I ask a silly question. The thing is that, when I search for and award name in the awards section, I get very poor results.

For example, if I search "premio nacional", I get

Awards matching "premio nacional".

XX edición premio nacional de poesía “Miguel de Cervantes” de Armilla 1 book
Mención premio nacional de literatura infantil-juvenil (MEC) 1 book
Segundo premio nacional de literatura infantil-juvenil (MEC) 1 book

When the one I wanted to get is this one https://www.goodreads.com/award/show/...
and doesn't show up.

I wanted to add some awards from the no-English speaking world but I can't check if they're there already. I guess the only way is doing it from a book I know has gotten the award, or using the list with the alphabetical order, but frankly speaking, that's a pain.

Please tell me if I'm doing something wrong, or if you know a better way to look up for existing awards on the site. The awards section is so useful and one of my favorites, and I want to give it my time and love.

Krazykiwi | 1767 comments The search within awards is case sensitive. We've mentioned many times that this is rather annoying, but it's unlikely to be fixed soon.

You just have to get in the habit of searching for all variants of capitalisation.

Sometimes searching for partial word endings works well, but not with words as common as premio nacional.

Husti | 2 comments Thank you so much for your answer! I get it now! And sorry, I didn't saw a similar question posted a little time ago. I hope they fix it someday...
