What is it about big books over 500 pages that we love so much? What is the longest book you've read to date? How long is too long? (ie. GRRM, Outlander, ACOMAF, Winter...) What are some of your favorite 500+ paged books you've read?

According to goodreads, the longest book I have ever read is Outlander with 800+ pages.
I think I love big books for the same reason that I love series. There is more time with the characters, world, and plot. Time only makes the heart grow fonder.
But really I also love the sense of accomplishment that comes along with finishing a big book.
