Looking forward to next book, Night Rebel #3 Wicked All Night."

Hi, Can I ask if you are liking Jeaniene Frost's new series? I am just starting on her previous series so I am wondering?"

Yes, enjoying very much. When Ian is introduced in the first series he seems almost a villain. When fans pleaded for books with him Frost essentially said Ian would get his story but it would take time for him to develop as character to get HEA and others would get theirs first.

Post World War 3 lots of nano-tech and telepathic cats with a well done narration.

Jacqueline (strandjss) | 4 comments I am reading book #9 in the Andy Carpenter series by David Rosenfelt. I love a good whodunit and legal fiction. David Rosenfelts books are an interesting mix of edge of your seat suspense with sarcastic humor (which I love). The books are just light hearted enough to be enjoyable and suspenseful at the same time. Every time I finish one, I always say, "I love Andy Carpenter."

QNPoohBear | 1194 comments I'm desperate since the library is closed so I've been alternating with Regency romances, by necessity, Christian Regency romances. (I won't read the New York Times best selling ones). I'll probably have to read some public domain books too and perhaps the books people keep giving me I never read if this quarantine lasts much longer.

message 894: by Karen (new)

Karen (xkamx) | 580 comments As usual, I'm reading romance when not reading cozies. Currently I'm hooked on short inta-lust/love stories.

I did just send a book to a friend, The Circus That Ran Away with a Jesuit Priest by Nick Weber. (I'm hoping he'll lend it to me when he's done.) It's the story of a Jesuit priest who used a 3/4 ring -- yes, three-quarter -- circus as his ministry. I attended a Jesuit high school and was lucky enough to see a couple of performances when their travels brought them through town.

L J | 714 comments Karen wrote: "As usual, I'm reading romance when not reading cozies. Currently I'm hooked on short inta-lust/love stories...."

I've been doing those the last few weeks though most have also been paranormal. If I start something long I tend to just hunker down and read and I could tell it was having an impact on my fitness. Switched to mostly short romance and audio.
It's sort of funny what becomes important when one is staying home all the time. I was unreasonably disappointed when Billionaire Undercover ~ Hudson (The Billionaire's Obsession #15) by J.S. Scott Billionaire Undercover ~ Hudson was postponed from February to July - may have to go back and do re-reads of some earlier ones.

Karen (xkamx) | 580 comments L J wrote: "I was unreasonably disappointed when Billionaire Undercover ~ Hudson was postponed from February to July - may have to go back and do re-reads of some earlier ones."

Love this series! Though some are better than others, I haven't been disappointed with any of the stories. It's among a few romance series I pick up now and then to reread -- usually after I remember a particular scene. I pick up the book to reread the scene and wind up reading/skimming the whole thing and then wind up reading other favorites in the series...as if I don't have hundreds of other TBRed items waiting.

There's something about the familiar, like watching reruns or old movies. Sometimes the familiar is just what one needs!

Binge on books!
