Her "boyfriend" (for that read "pimp"), deeply concerned because so many women like Marie had disappeared in the area lately, searched up and down every street in the direction they'd gone until he saw the truck she had driven off in, the one with the distinctive primer spot on the door. EDIT: I totally forgot to say this is the first anniversary of the massacre at Pulse in Orlando, Florida. The final death toll was 49, not counting the shooter himself, who was rightfully shot and killed on the spot. Worst mass shooting in U.S. history. The nightclub never re-opened but there are plans to make it into a memorial and museum.
