The classic that I have reread several times is The Housr of Mirth by Edith Wharton.

For my IRL book club, I reading Moonwalking with Einstein: The Art and Science of Remembering Everything for January, and I'm listening to A Man Called Ove for February.
I'm also reading The Shadow of the Wind. I had wanted to finish this book in December, but it was misplaced and just found. My reading is already scheduled for January, so I'm hoping to squeeze this one in.
What I'm reading now...

I set an ambitious reading goal for me this year and need to get busy!!!

Listening to Swing Time

I just finished reading
Lillian Boxfish Takes a Walk. On a 5 point scale, I would give it 10 stars. I LOVED THIS BOOK. The writing is lyrical, original and poked at me so often.
I also finished listening to
Hush by the marvelous Jacqueline Woodson.
In their places I'm reading
Belle Cora and listening to Fannie Flagg's
Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe. I've listened to almost everything Flagg has written, but missed out on this one - until now.

I also finished listening to

MEH- I did turn the pages quickly, but the depth was lacking.

All the feels- I stayed up til 4am last night because I had to finish it to see how it ended. I woke up with a major book hangover and bleary, red eyes.

Reading wise, I finally got to read 84, Charing Cross Road, which I've been wanting to read forever. My only complaint was that it was too short! What a sweet book. Currently I'm reading The City Baker's Guide to Country Living, which is fairly light but such a good story. I am a sucker for foodie books and she reminds me of Jenny Colgan, who I just adore. So far it has been a great year in reading/listening!!

The audio is even better!! I loved it! Did you read My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry? That one was great but you have to persevere through the fairy tales, because there's a reason for them.

I'm currently reading The Shadow of the Wind and Zer0es.

This book is on my 2017 TBR pile. I'll go into it with lower expectations, but I am looking forward to the how the plot is resolved.

Anytime Readnponder! ;) Looking forward to your thoughts on Sepetys!

We read The Complete Persepolis in our first round of our Postal Book Club ... my first graphic novel and I was enchanted. Surprising amount of narrative among the gritty graphics.
