Peggy - Sounds like you had a fab food experience. I think I would have been still hungry though! :-)
I've found that Emergen-C works great to thwart getting a cold/winter crap. It has a heavy dose of vitamin C and generally does the trick.

Your meal sounds amazing Peggy!
I like the sound of the chilli vodka Lisa.

Meanwhile we've gotten about 50 inches of rain since April 1 with over 12" of rain in 9 days in October

When I did get back to sleep, I was dreaming about the last page I read in my book (before I decided I needed to put it down and go to sleep at 1.30am) over and over and over.
And then, in this not sort of sleeping state, I woke myself up FOUR times SINGING in my sleep. Apparently, ladies and gentlemen, this is something I do. I had no idea, Lexx has never mentioned it before. And I mention it to him as a funny, ridiculous story, he just non-chantley goes "Yeah, you do that". WHAT?!?
So I get to work wreaked (I wasn't going to go) and my work mates baked me a cake, and had a lunch all planned for me. Which I spilled down my front in 3 places, and then squirted cherry juice (another present, cherries just came into season on the weekend) down my front too. My Mum called to wish me happy birthday, and I told her this, and now she thinks she's a failure as I can't feed myself at 34.
Finished my book this arvo though lol. Small wins.

I agree that it is worthy to mention to someone that they sing in their sleep. Years ago I apparently said something while sleeping to Rob, I have no idea what it was, and he was annoyed with me for a few days for saying that thing. He refused to tell me what I said, and now it's years later and I still don't know.

Not at all. It's just a comedy of errors. I mean, come on. Who sings in their sleep?
Oh that's rude. You can't get mad and never tell. Our housemate stopped talking to our other one (they are best mates) for a day. B had no idea what on earth he had done. It came out the next day, that T was pissed at B, as B had slept with T's girlfriend (now wife), in T's dream. God that was a funny conversation to walk into in the morning
B: "But it wasn't me! It's your dream! It's your fault!"
T: "BUT YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER!!!!"

But yes, rude. So I got mad at him for being mad at me about something I said in my sleep and not telling me what it was so I couldn't even defend myself. Anyway, it's 8 years or so later now and we're still together so it can't have been that bad. Occassionally it comes up but he still refuses to tell me (to be honest I sometimes doubt if he even remembers what it was about).

Wh..."
Sorry to hear you had a bad night, Rusalka.

Thanks, Lisa. I am glad it does not happen often. Makes you remember how important sleep is.

Lol. He probably has. Although Lexx does remind me of when we needed to find a new share house 12 years ago, and he came into our bedroom with me turning and yelling "RAINE AND HORNE" (one of our big real estate agents) at him, and promptly snoring.
You get a free pass when you're sleeping. Your brain does weird things while you dream, which you should never be held accountable for.

B: "But it wasn't me! It's your dream! It's your fault!"
T: "BUT YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER!!!!" "
That is hilarious!
My husband usually speaks in his sleep. Half of the time he repeats "Aha", as if he were agreeing with what someone is saying. I always tell him "You are SO compliant when you are asleep!"

I've heard my boyfriend talk in his sleep a couple of times too. I always make an effort not to hear it, for some reason I find things someone says in their sleep very private.

When we went to the snow a few years ago, we shared a room with 3 other people. I was so worried about talking in my sleep. Apparently, all I did was fall asleep before the others, roll over, and let rip the loudest fart ever. Apparently the room was in hysterics, and I missed the whole thing. I'm not sure what's better...
I assume I was singing "Rollin' in the Deep" as that was what was in my head when I woke up each time.

I travelled all the way in to Bristol today for a meeting and they had double booked me. Very frustrating. So i bought some fleece from the fabric shop to make a blanket and now I'm back on the train home.

Thanks Travis. A benefit of having friends all over the world is that your birthday lasts 36 hours or so. It's the 20th, so don't think you're late yet :D

I don't know if I still talk in my sleep, but I did as a kid. My mother heard me talking one night and questioned me until I told her the name of the boy I had a crush on. The next morning, she teased me at the breakfast table.
I know that I have laughed in my sleep because it woke me up.
I hate those dreams like your book dream, Rusalka. I have them but work related - crunching numbers over and over.

Oh that sucks you got double booked when you travelled down there. They travelling to you next time?
I think I just make musically noises. From my observation the other night, I had a song in my head and I must have been trying to sing along. It was bassy, so I rumbled my way awake. And it was so loud (Lexx pointed out it wouldn't have been as loud as I thought, and usually isn't). From what I heard, it wasn't great. Wouldn't be winning a Grammy, I'm better when I'm awake lol.

Oh I have fitting dreams. They started when I was working at the bakery. They are work dreams mixed with tetris. I would have X number of sausage rolls, or pies, and they had to fit on the tray NO MATTER WHAT, and I would try, and there would always be one left over. Rinse, repeat, 2 hours of my life. Now it's not sausage rolls, but if I get into a fitting dream pattern, I just get up. It's all over. I think the last one was plastic balls...
I was dreaming about spreadsheets at the end of October. Work dreams are also the sign to start looking for a new job.

Ooo nice one. I used to sleepwalk too. Last time was out of the top bunk while still in a sleeping bag at our holiday house on Christmas Eve, and I crashed on to the concrete floor (which did have carpet tiles on it, but my bum didn't notice). Never slept walked again.

Unfortunately I will still have to travel to them but I won't be hurrying to rebook the meeting that's for sure.

Same, nearly. (view spoiler)
For everyone though, the director of American Gods, I had no idea was the director of two of my other favourite TV shows ever. I mean I knew him, i didn't know he did American Gods. Pushing Daisies http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0925266/ and Wonderfalls http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0361256/?.... Everyone should watch Wonderfalls.

Same, nearly.

I don't think I regularly talk in my sleep, but I know I have on occasion. Once, early in our marriage, I semi-attacked my husband in my sleep. He tried to kiss me on the forehead or something while I was asleep and he said I sat up and started hitting him! I have no memory of doing it though.
And once not too long ago I was dreaming something was on the bed, a bug or monster or something, and I started flailing around in my sleep and pushed my mini-schnauzer off the bed! I felt so bad afterwards! I woke up when she hit the floor.

This morning I went into my office where I keep the petty cash to put some money in the lockbox, and it was empty! Someone who either knew where my key was or managed to find it, unlocked the drawer and took about $120. I don't have reason to go into the locked drawer very often, but I happened to get some money out on Friday and then opened it again today. Either someone on the painting crew or our cleaning company had to have taken it. I don't think anyone I work with would have done it.

Love your stories, Travis. You're giving the kids great memories.

Oh good. As Lexx missed it, so that's why I asked.
