Dramapuppy | 195 comments 1. Scythe (Arc of a Scythe, #1) by Neal Shusterman
Rating: Five Stars
Reason for reading: Premise
Mini Review: What a great way to start the year! Or, more negatively, it's all downhill from here! This is Unwind but without the abortion debate.

Dramapuppy | 195 comments 2. The Last Days of Jack Sparks by Jason Arnopp
Rating: Four stars
Reason for reading: Premise
Mini Review: Excellent fake nonfiction. The narrator is perfect, and I loved the ending. Scary.

Dramapuppy | 195 comments 3. The Dumb House by John Burnside
Rating: Three reluctant stars
Reason for reading: Misconception
Mini Review: I thought this was a horror novel, but it turned out to be a modern classic trying to actually disturb you. I hated every minute of it, but it was very high-quality writing.

Dramapuppy | 195 comments 4. Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty
Rating: Four stars
Reason for reading: Author
Mini Review: An easily readable piece of fiction. It kept my attention and I was totally invested. The characters are great.

Dramapuppy | 195 comments 5. The Call by Peadar Ó Guilín
Rating: Two stars
Reason for reading: Premise
Mini Review: The writing is bad and none of my questions were answered, plus it's more boring than I thought possible for this premise.

Dramapuppy | 195 comments 6. Replica (Replica, #1) by Lauren Oliver
Rating: Two Stars

Dramapuppy | 195 comments 7. One Was Lost by Natalie D. Richards
Rating: Three Stars
Reason for reading: I didn't have anything else to read

Dramapuppy | 195 comments 8. The River at Night by Erica Ferencik
Rating: Two Stars
Reason for reading: Premise
Mini Review: The writing full of unnecessary description and it doesn't get started until the second half, by which point I had already given up on the characters.

Rating: Four Stars
Reason for reading: TV show
Mini Review: Really three stars, but just because I'm too old for it. I counted three as one book because they're short.

Dramapuppy | 195 comments 19. Bird Box by Josh Malerman
Rating: Three stars
Reason for reading: Premise
Mini Review: Malerman blows his premise and spends the whole book just telling you to feel scared, but it culminates in a really scary scene, so I gave it an extra star.
