Drat! Just wanted to update you on my Shifters book. It is coming along but I lost 2 hours of reading time to a glorious nap. I won't have it done tonight but I will have it done tomorrow before shelf call. I'll be at work and won't be able to make a completion post for it until later that night, however. Then, hopefully :D, I will immediately start reading my angels book *fingers crossed!*

No apologizing for sleeping, Kait! Kathleen and Laura haven't finished books, either.

This week's shelf call is in one and a half hours. Since the 6 remaining shelves are all winning shelves for one or more teams, this is likely our last shelf call this round. Y'all have been a great team and I'm glad to have been in this round with you three!
Shelf #18: Shifters

Book: Cynful by Dana Marie Bell
Date Completed: May 24
Rating: 3 star
REVIEW:
Shifter books are my guilty pleasure. Sometimes I just an to read a book for fun even though it doesn't make any logical sense. This was one such book. the plot was ridiculous. But hey, I knew that before going into this book.
I liked Julian and Cyn (though Glory got on my nerves; that woman is just annoying). I also liked the spirit journey, meeting bear, the riddle etc. There were somethings that were over the top - for example, Cyn asking Julian to mark her, not because she agreed to be his mate, but because becoming a shifter was the only way to combat another shifter. That sort of reasoning made me roll my eyes.
However, this book was fun. I surely will read the next book.

I love shifter books too! There's so many things I let them get away with because they're shifters that I hate with other characters (like being super bossy) :P

Bummer! But it looks like we still stand a chance if we stay caught up!!
Book - Night Blade by J.C. Daniels
Shelf - Shifters
How it Fits - shelved by 27 people as shifters
Pages - 255 pages
Date Read - May 25
Rating - 5 stars
Review - Reads like a loveletter to Kate Daniels and I can never get enough of that <3 There are so many similarities that it's eerie. Of course my heart lies with Kate but since I don't have to pick just one, I really enjoy Kit as well. She got her own Derrick (yay!) and Hugh (eeep!) in this book. The ending was gutting!! I really want to read the next book right now.
Am back! I shall catch up with the shelves tomorrow! I'll be reading Kate Daniels 8 for shifters and will see what I have for Fae.
Shifters:
Book: Moon Called (Mercy Thompson #1)
Finished: 26.05.17
Rating: *****
Review: This was awesome book! From the start it was interesting and I had hard time putting it down. When I wasn't reading it, I was thinking about it :D I love the main character and she manages to get mixed up in werewolf business, even though she is walker. In this book she helps her friend and he's daughter.

Shifters Shelf
Thoughts:
Not much to add to the plethora of praises this series is getting but I really do look forward to reading Derek's story soon! The usual gang kicked ass like they always do and I can't wait for the final showdown. I really like how the authors were still able to keep Kate and Curran's relationship interesting despite them having been together for several books now.
Fae
book: Lord of the Fading Lands
Rating ****
Finished: 01.07.17
Review: I loved it! It perfect if you love paranormal romantic and I liked it wasn't just that. There was other things going on as well and the book ended the way that everything is still open. There is threat to the fae and everyone the the fea king holds dear. In the first book the threat grown stronger and stronger and no one can prove anything really is going on, but you as a reader know it. So excited for the second book :D
