Sloane approached the last room carefully, seeing her dot appear on the map, right where he needed to get to. He stopped for a moment, quickly looking around and debating his options.

She switched to a long range sniper rifle and waited patiently. Mei was not letting him off the hook.
Sloane guessed they were waiting to ambush her. So he chose to play the waiting game. Stay nearby and wait to see if they'd get bored first and come for him or what.
Mei moved a bit and just of to the right of the map, she caught a glimpse of a small dot and smiled before switching to the missile launcher and looking through the viewing glass and taking good aim. She had one shot. Before she could notice, she clicked the green A button and launched it.
Sloane didn't notice right away but he noticed in just enough time to move into the small bit of cover of a doorway before the missile reached him. That's as far away as he could get.
"Damn it!" Mei growled out aloud. A little too loud. She gave up the calm collected approach and finally affronted him, shooting repeatedly before ducking and hiding.
Sloane figured that he had to be playing against Mei based on her outbursts and how the game was going. Once she ducked and his, he used the wall as cover and took aim at where she was. He fired rapidly a few times.
She moved around the side of the wall and gave him a relentless barrage of bullets before ducking behind a closer crate.
Sloane was wounded but not killed. So he stayed behind cover, sighing softly as he waited. His gun was ready to fire, aimed in the direction she'd been firing from.
She crawled along to her left, using the crate as a shield before leaping over to his side of the wall and shooting multiple times, praying she got him.
Sloane opened fire as soon as she got close to him. His aim wasn't perfect but with how much he fired, he had to have hit her at least once
He'd hit her pretty hard. Mei was on critical health and had 10 seconds before she died. She took aim with her gun and got a head shot on him and was just about to rejoice when the screen flashed "Tied Game". She'd died simultaneous to him. She sat there in shock before blowing at the TV "What the hell?! How's that possible? I didn't even know that a tie bloody existed!"
Sloane sighed softly at the tie, mumbling softly. He heard Mei blow up at her tv and set down his controller, choosing to play dumb. He moved and peered out his window. "You alright?" He called out.
She didn't look toward the voice, but responded out of pure rage "No I'm not bloody alright! This game is rigged and -" she caught herself and slowly turned toward him, on the other side of the low fence and smiled a bit sheepishly "I'm so sorry, did I wake you up?" she said guiltily before seeing that he was shirtless and her eyes widened a bit.
Sloane smiled and shook his head. "I doubt it was rigged. You probably just missed some chance or something." He suggested. "And no. You didn't wake me. I don't really sleep much." Sloane noticed her eyes widen a bit and rolled his eyes. He grabbed a soft hoodie off the floor and pulled it on.
She narrowed her eyes at him as he rolled his eyes and turned her TV back to shows before looking to him again "What are you, a vampire?" she joked with a smirk, her tone making it clear she was just joking.
Sloane shrugged. "Possibly. That'd explain how I got my snake bite piercings." He commented, biting his lip lightly. "But I'm not as far as I know, I'm just a bit of an insomniac who hates sleep." He ran a hand through his hair. His lip looked a bit better but his jaw was swollen with a dark bruise developing.
She gave him a sidelong glance through her messy and wild bed hair before turning toward him and resting her elbow on the windowsill "And maybe why you bite your lip so much" she smiled before sighing "You going to school today?" she asked before brushing her curly hair out of her face.
Sloane shrugged. "I probably should go. But I really don't want to get in another fight. And the dean doesn't like me, so I don't think pushing my luck with two fights in two days would be a logical choice." He replied. "What about you?"
Mei shook her head "I gotta take care of Eugene" she sighed "That's my brother by the way. And anyway" she yawned and then smiled at him "it feels nice to be a bit of a rebel now and again"
Sloane nodded. "Makes sense." He shrugged at her. He turned off his tv and Xbox for now, getting bored of the quiet background music of the game. He then leaned against the windowsill, looking around before at her.
She turned fully toward him and watched him look around before opening her mouth to ask him the question that had been bugging her from when she saw him "Why did you move here so suddenly?" she asked quietly and gently, knowing it might be a hard topic to talk about.
"It wasn't really that suddenly...." Sloane shrugged. He bit his lip lightly. "And we moved out here for a lot of different reasons, including the fact I got expelled from a previous school."
She nodded, deciding not to ask why "Your parents are never home?" she asked, figuring as such as she hadn't seen anyone else or heard anything from his house.
"My guardian had to go on a business trip." He lied easily. Honestly, she spent more time at work or at bars then she ever did at home. But Sloane didn't really care. He was pretty much self sufficient.
She tilted her head and sighed "Well at least they haven't left you". There was a silence before she decided to tell him. It was only fair "My mum packed and left with my step dad. God knows where they are and only God probably cares. So there you go. No one left to take care of us"
Sloane sighed, not wanting to listen to her whine about her problems. "You do realize I said my guardian right, not mother or parent.." He mumbled quietly, looking around his room rather than at her.
"Yes I noticed that" she responded a bit too sharply "But I know that wouldn't like strangers asking me about how my dad died" but then caught her tongue. Giving him a glare, she closed the window and went to go check on her brother
Sloane rolled his eyes as she snapped before leaving. He told himself to just not care. He didn't need people bringing drama into his life. He had enough on his own.
((No offence, but I feel like they aren't progressing at all. I enjoy this roleplay, its just that it's progressing really slowly))
((Don't apologise, it's okay. Something where Sloane has to open up a bit more? Do you have any suggestions to help them on a bit? ^-^))
((The best idea I have for Sloane opening up would be they keep playing games together and start chatting that way, since she won't know it's him he'd probably be a bit more open. At least until she connects the similarities....)
((Good idea! Let's roll with that ))
Mei walked to her brother's room and knocked before hearing a moan. She entered quietly to see her brother half asleep. She went and got him his favourite cereal, alcohol wipes and heat cream.

(Okay!) Sloane stayed in his room most of the night and the next day. He turned his music back on and just played games most of the time.
Mei nursed her brother, studied for classes and wrote new music. But most of the time she spent her hours playing the Xbox, switching from game to game, when she finally settled on Call of Duty for a while.
Sloane had been playing call of duty most of the day, sticking on the story mode for a while. When he got bored or stuck at some point, he'd switch to multiplayer
Mei had been switching back and forth from free play mode and multiplayer. She switched back to multiplayer and waited for someone to show up.
She found the same player from the night before and she couldn't help a small smile. Yes he'd beaten Mei at her favourite game, but she had to give it too him. He wasn't half bad. She sent him a friend request because she probably didn't know the guy. Why not?
Sloane saw the friend request and smiled a bit. He accepted the friend request, looking at her profile a bit to try and see what other games she played.
Mei played a variety of games from action to strategy. But what might have surprised him was the sheer amount of horror games she'd played and then there was that one game she wished she'd never touched. As a kid she'd been a huge Just Dance and Guitar Hero fanatic. That was a deep dark secret that was in the depths of her profile. Out of sight, out of mind. She went through their profile, looking at their games and highscores.
Sloane explored her profile curiously, not looking into too much of her high scores or anything right now. His profile was pretty simple, just a few action games and a couple strategy ones and that was about it.
Mei decided to message him "You a Call of Duty fan huh? :)" she messaged and sat there on her bed, waiting for a reply from this mystery gamer.
Sloane shrugged. 'Yeah. A bit of one I guess..' He sent back pretty quickly. He was almost completely sure this was Mei from next door but since she didn't know it was him, he didn't mind too much.
She raised her eyebrows "A bit? You've topped the leaderboards five times! Stop being so modest XD". Mei always felt that Sloane and herself were from two different worlds. The last person she suspected this to be was Sloane.
Sloane smiled a bit. "I know. The leaderboards nationally are pretty easy though. International is a bit of a different story." He sent with a shrug.
"Seriously, stop. I bet you kick ass so bad. You're too modest XP. I made the national leader board once. It's not as easy as you make it out to be veteran XD "
"It is actually pretty easy once you know the right strategies. And have been playing for a while. *shrug*" Sloane laid back on his bed, watching the screen
She smirked "Lets see you in action then. Wanna play a game? ^-^" she messaged back.
