Defy the Dark is an anthology, so it's 17 short stories... while Three Dark Crowns is about three queens who are each equal heirs to a crown, with magical abilities; and each of the three queens (who are sisters) have to fight to the death for the crown.

I've got one book left I'm hoping to finish by tomorrow! I had my last exam today so I'm finally free to read more :)
