I am bringing this Challenge back as it is a good way to get through those books that have been sitting on your TBR stack for a long time. This challenge is designed to help clean up your To Be Read pile. If you're anything like me you have quite a pile of books you keep meaning to get to.

Post 12 books that you want to read this year and see how many you can finish by December 31st!

You don't have to read them in the order that you post them. Also, just because you have them doesn't mean that you are going to like the book so you can post some alternatives if you want or just post that you tried reading the book and it wasn't for you.

If you would like a little bit more of a challenge can you find 12 books from all different genres or at least different subgenre of books if they are in the same genre?

This Challenge will be open from January 1 through December 31.

Bridget Jones's Diary...a favorite. The only other ones on your list that I've read are A Tale of Two Cities and Wuthering Heights.

Nice book choices. I have tried several times to read 11/23/63 but could never get into it.

I started the first one on my list but just couldn't get into it enough to really want to finish it.

So I am moving on to the next one.

Finished my 2nd book on the list Day of the Assassins: A Jack Christie Adventure .

It was an ok book, an interesting look at history. The main characters are 15 year old boys who get caught up in a time travel plan to go back in time and stop WWI. The boys have to decide if changing the past is the right thing to do or to keep history intact.

Lea Ann (buntingla) | 765 comments Knocked one off my list, Local Girls by Alice Hoffman. She is one of my favorite authors, so whenever I see one of her books at a yard sale or flea market I snatch it up. This one is realistic fiction and did not disappoint. Have you ever looked at someone and wondered what his or her story was? This book elevates the everyday in details that are both heartbreaking and hopeful.

I got my 4th book off this list today Breakwater.

This was a very bland story that I kept reading cause I really thought it was going to get better.

Lea Ann (buntingla) | 765 comments Knocked one off this list, The Mailbox. I'm half way there.

I am not having a lot of luck with this years list.

Started The Pied Piper but just cannot get into it. Moving on to other books.

Lea Ann (buntingla) | 765 comments I'm doing a little better with this list this year. I have four to go.

The last book I read, ttyl, is a book written in Instant Messaging messages. Published in 2004, it is pretty dated at this point (the slang and references), and I found reading the entire book in IM messages was kind of annoying.
