Chass and Lime's Dorm

Chass and Lime's dorm in Kyuusho House. None may enter without their permission.

The room is the size of two bedrooms conjoined and has two sides. Each side has a bed, a desk with a chair, a closet and dresser, and a bedside table. There is a bathroom off to the side.

Chastity dragged herself to where she was told her room was. So thoroughly exhausted and hating being around people already. It always worried her, the whole being around people thing. The man who checked her out said she would be fine here, but she still wasn't sure. She saw her name outside the door, along with someone else's name. Welp. Hopefully her roommate wouldn't be too bad. Just don't get attached, Chass. Attachments lead to pain, she thought as she went through the door.

Lime was sitting in her dorm, carefully brushing her hair before pulling it up into a fancy bun. She was worn-out after chasing Lemon and William around the school all day, making sure they didn't destroy anything or kill any innocents, and needless to say it was exhausting. When she heard someone walk into the room, she briefly glanced over her shoulder. "Oh, hello! Are you new here? I'm Lime, your roommate!" She greeted nicely, smiling a warm smile at her. She was hoping she was nothing like William or Lemon, since one of them was more than enough.

Chastity looked at her, cautiously examining Lime before she said anything. "My name is Chastity, and yes, I'm new," she said. Her voice was rather dry, just because she wasn't used to showing any emotion anymore. It had been a really long time since she spoke to anyone civilly, actually. She sniffed a bit and subtly rested her hand on her sword hilt. "Are you a vampire?" she asked though she already knew. She was trained to smell a vampire a mile away, so of course she knew. This whole hallway reeked of the stench of vampire. There had to be a lot. Hopefully none dangerous.

"You must be really intimidated by everything, but I promise you'll be fine. Nothing will hurt you here," She smiled nicely. "Yes, I am a vampire," She opened her mouth to reveal tiny fangs. "Are you?"

"Intimidated, no," Chass said honestly. She was just worried about what had happened at her last school. At the question, she clicked her tongue. "I don't feel the need to tell you." If this girl - Lime, was it? - couldn't tell what she was, then there was no way she was going to say it.

Lime blinked, then shrugged. "Okay then..." She pulled on a long nightgown that looked vaguely Victorian. "If you are one, I hope you are the same kind as my sister and I. We can turn into bats and hate the sunlight and don't reflect in mirrors, but Whitlea and her siblings are nothing like that,"

"Bats, no. But I've never tried. Hate sunlight, and well..." Chastity looked over to the mirror and saw nothing but the wall behind her. She sighed. She hadn't seen herself in ages, and had even forgotten what she looked like. Suddenly, she realized that she'd just given herself up. Oh well. It wasn't like she was that big of a secret anyway.

"Oh, so you're like Lemon and I! That's great!" Lime clasped her hands together. "I was lonely without someone else who had to sleep when the sun came up and everything..." She sat on her bed and crossed her legs. "Why don't we get to know each other? Since we're roommates and everything,"

Chastity went over to what she guessed would be her bed. She unclasped her belt and laid it, along with the sword, down. Next, she slipped off her jacket, but left the gloves on. "I don't like getting to know people," she said plainly, her back to Lime. She gave no reasoning, but none had been asked of her anyway.

"Oh..." Her face fell to practically the floor. "I was hoping we could be friends, since you seem like a nice vampire, unlike my sister's current boyfriend....I wanted to know some more nice ones,"

"Friends don't work out," Chastity told her. "You must be young. Haven't figured that out yet. Everyone dies, there's no time for friends." She glanced back at Lime, wondering what her reaction would be, but Chastity reminded herself that it didn't matter. It was only the truth.

"So you're one of those ancient vampires, huh? I'm only eighteen...in both people and vampire years. Which for most vampires is, like, an infant," She spun around on her bed and pouted, making her back face Chastity as well.

"I'm two hundred and thirty years old, so yes. I guess ancient," Chastity said. She shook her head. "You really are only a baby. I don't even remember being that young. I remember some of my even younger years but....no I do remember. Not something I like to, though."

Lime blushed at that. "You don't have to phrase it like that! I don't like how young I am!" Her features softened at Chastity's next statement. "I would imagine not....you've probably seen all kinds of horrible things in your two-hundred years,"

"Horrible is an understatement," Chase told her. "Try shattering and you'll be closer to the truth. Devestating, more like. But I don't want to depress you."

"Er...." Lime fidgeted uncomfortably in her seat. She usually considered herself to be a good ice-breaker, but she was getting nowhere with her! "Uh, why is your name Chastity? It's an awfully pretty name. It's like Mercy Lewis,"

Chastity plopped her petite form to sit on the bed. "I don't know. It's just what my mother named me. She might have named me for something, I'm not sure. My middle name was once my grandmother's, I know that."

"Oh...." Lime laughed awkwardly. "Well, my twin sister and I, our names go together because we're twins, Lemon and Lime. The flavors make up a soda, plus we were named for a type of erotic story where a lemon is the more explicit, and a lime is tamer. Fits my sister perfectly,"

"Interesting," Chastity said carefully, though she'd never heard the terms before. "But you were still named after fruit? Either way, you have any nicknames?"

She nodded. "Yes, we were still named after fruit," Lime then shook her head. "I mean, I suppose you could call me Li, but that doesn't seem very appropriate,"

"It's fine. Just wondering," Chastity said. She wasn't sure how she could sleep with another person in the room, let alone another vampire, but she was just so exhausted that she was sure she'd have to.

"If you're worried about sharing a room with me, don't be! I'm very quiet when I sleep, and I won't hurt you!" She reassured her, smiling. "I don't drink from other vampires,"

"I'm sorry, I'm just not used to people anymore," Chass said. "I'm used to being on my own." She didn't bother to untie her boots because she always liked to be prepared. "And no offense to you, but your word isn't enough to make me believe you. We just met."

Lime pouted. "Well, we can get to know each other! The sun isn't due to rise for a few hours, why don't we explore the school? Or the town? There's all sorts of cool things to do here!" She smiled.

Chass thought about it for a moment, not sold on the idea. "Alright, fine," she said. "We can explore, I guess."

"Yay!" Lime clasped her hands together and stood up. "Where do you want to go? This school has pretty much any type of place you could want to visit!"

"I don't know," Chass said, putting her jacket and belt back on. "I haven't been anywhere and I don't have preferences."

"Hmmm...we could meet the headmistress! She's helping me find out about my past! She's like, way older than she looks!" Lime suggested nicely. "Or the office aide who sorts everyone, although she's deaf...we could also just walk around the hallways,"

"I already met both of them," Chass said. "The office aide is a wolf, did you know? There's more to the school than that, isn't there?" She ruffled up her short hair and sighed. She really was tired because it had been so long since she slept well, but she could humor this girl for a while.

She nodded. "I could smell she was a wolf, is that wrong?" She challenged. "I don't hate wolves, even though I'm a vampire. I think our feud is stupid and petty,"

"No, there's nothing wrong with wolves at all. And I don't understand the feud in the first place," Chastity said. "I just thought it was something to take note of."

"Oh, okay," Lime pouted again, upset she was getting nowhere with Chastity. "Well if you're tired, you don't have to explore with me, but I'm going down to the kitchen to get some water for my blood tablets,"

"No, it's fine," Chastity said. "I'm going to need to see it sometime. And it's probably better if it's someone I have to get to know." She would rather learn whether or not she could trust the girl she had to sleep in the same room as than just go to sleep.

"Well, we could go to the mess hall together. They have bags of blood in the fridge if you want them, but I don't drink those. I couldn't possibly drink actual blood!" Lime gasped, then walked out of the room. "Well, follow me!"

"I could use a drink," Chastity shrugged, following Lime. She hadn't drunk anything in a while, but she could hold out a bit longer. Still, it would be nice to maybe have something before she slept.

"Follow me then!" Lime brightened and led Chastity to the mess hall, glad she could be helpful.

Lime and Chastity got back to their room just in time for the sun to come up. "You have blackout curtains?" Chass asked, wondering if that would block out the sun efficiently.

"No, but I think Lemon has some. She meant to give them to me but never did," Lime hurriedly buried herself in her covers. "Could you please go ask her for me? Her dorm is three doors down from mine,"

"Alright fine," Chass said. "Three down to the left or the right?" She went to the door, not sure how a random person looking for blackout curtains would go over in reality.

"Yeah! She shares a room with Whitlea. Just say you're my friend!" Lime smiled from under her blankets.

Chastity returned with the box of blackout curtains and didn't knock when she entered. "Do you want me to put these up?" she asked, assuming that Lime hadn't fallen asleep while she was gone.

Lime hadn't, although she was completely covered in her blankets to hide from the sun. "Yeah!" She answered happily, pointing to the window closest to her bed.

"Alright," Chastity said, looking at the window. She hadn't thought this through... How the heck was she going to get the curtains up there?! She was short! And there was no way she was going to fly, not even high enough to get the curtains on.

"Do you want some help?" She asked after a few minutes, peeking from under the blankets. "If I'm not in direct sunlight I should be fine...and it's only for a few minutes anyway,"

"It's fine," Lime quickly got out of bed and took the curtains from Chastity, then very carefully draped them over the window, effectively blocking out the sun. "There..."

"Much better," Chastity said and unbuckled her belt again. She laid it and her sword on the floor beside her bed before taking off her jacket and then reaching for her eyepatch, but then paused. Did she bring the cloth patch? Or had she left it somewhere....
