I have 7 books left to reach my 150-book challenge. In order to get there I have an X author book and an X title book to read, plus the 3 books I'm currently reading. And then 2 more I haven't picked out yet. :)

message 3: by Lori (new)

Lori Thank you for starting this for us Elyse. I have 8 books to read to finish my 175 book challenge. I have 3 going right now and I hope to finish them in the next couple of days.

I have 12 books to go to reach my goal of 125. I don't think I will finish the ABC Challenge but I'm okay with that if I reach my total goal. Hoping to get lots of reading done over the next 9 days!

Karol | 221 comments Sure - I'm in! Currently reading The Battle of the Labyrinth.

Update 12/30/16: Finished The Battle of the Labyrinth a few days ago. Started The Swiss Family Robinson, but left it at my mom's on 12/27. Yesterday, I started reading A Rift in Time. I'm hoping to have a lot of reading time the next 2 days so we'll see how far I can get. I believe I can get to Swiss Family online if I want to, rather than wait to retrieve the book from my mom's.

I was halfway through The Impossible Fortress this morning and just finished it. My ARC of The Fifth Petal expired before I was able to finish it, or get even halfway through, so that will have to wait for next year. I just started reading Xoe: or Vampires, and Werewolves, and Demons, Oh My! for my X title.

Way to go, Andrea! Have you read the Selection series? It's a pretty cute, fluffy, light series. Very quick.

I'm more than halfway through Wide Open: My Adventures in Polyamory, Open Marriage, and Loving on My Own Terms and I started listening to Ruthless: Scientology, My Son David Miscavige, and Me this morning. I also started Glass Sword while waiting for my phone to charge. These books and my final book of 2017, Nimona, will get me to my 150-goal!

This was the first one I have read Elyse. I really liked it a lot! It's a super cute and easy to read book. I think I'm going to read the series.

In the past 2 days, I finished Wide Open: My Adventures in Polyamory, Open Marriage, and Loving on My Own Terms (meh), audiobook Ruthless: Scientology, My Son David Miscavige, and Me (interesting), and audiobook Nimona (super cute!). I just started audiobook And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer which will bring me to 150! I'm going to try and finish Glass Sword before midnight tomorrow but it's almost 500 pages, I'm less than 25% through, and I have to prep for my NYE party! So I'm not holding out any hope. Two short audiobooks brought me to my Goodreads goal. :)

Lori I have finished Coma Girl parts 4 and 5, that leaves me with 1 book to finish to make my goal of 175 books!

I was 6 books short to meet my increased goal of 125. I also feel short by 5 books to finish the author alphabet challenge. I finished the title alphabet challenge. I'm excited for a productive 2017 including getting rid of some of these books by reading them!

The two books I started at the end of 2016 I didn't even get halfway through. So my goal for the rest of this Readathon and to start 2017 off well is to finish Glass Sword and get halfway through Cinder.

Happy New Year!

Elyse wrote: "I don't get President's Day or MLK Day off. My next holiday is Memorial Day....... :(!"

Ughhh, that stinks!!! Should we just pick a random weekend each month?...lol We could do it around the holidays for those people that are lucky enough to get them off or are available.

message 39: by Lori (new)

Lori I'm a nurse so my holiday weekends are hit and miss. I'm ok with any weekend you choose. I just love the readathons because they keep me mindful of how much I'm reading.

message 40: by Carol (new)

Carol (carol07) | 4342 comments I can do MLK weekend, or any old weekend.
