Hello and welcome to today's episode of "Nerdy and the Jedi Journal"!!!!!!!
My old one was a 3-shelf bookshelf the same size and color as my dresser. Both are wooden. I had NO space for all of my books so I ended up putting some of my books on my sisters shelf, which is 5-shelf (utter horse crap considering she doesnt read much and the shelves had most of my books and toys)
Well, when I bought "The Girl of Fire and Thorns" and "The Sun is Also A Star" (two really AMAZING books) I had to rearrange the books so it would fit. Well, I guess the eght was too much and it collapsed....completely broke and snapped the backboard and a shelf.
I fixed it to the point where 2 shelves worked: the very bottom for my American Girl books collection, then a shelf board on top of those to support most of my YA's
With the new situation, had to be careful of how I put my books there. And you would think I'd stop getting more books but NOOOOOOO I just bought MORE XD. All the books that couldnt fix went into a carboard box at the foot of my bed
Well, I BEGGED my dad to fix it, but he always put it off. It wasn't until 2 days ago when it hit me: Why fix it when my books wont fit anyhow?
I thought we could move my sister's shelf in my room, but what would she have? Plus its too big to ft in my small room (She honestly WANTED the broken shelf. Dont ask) I went to my mom for the answer because moms know EVERYTHING.
She said if I could take the old schoolbooks off one of the 5-shelves in the attic and put them in boxes and crates, I could have one of them
So I RAN up there and cleaned out a newer looking wooden shelf and put some on my parents shelf, and some in crates (Where I found the ENTIRE Percy Jackson series, Kane Chronicles, and Heroes of Olympus books. They all were my brothers) My sister helped only if I agreed to help her fix an old nightstand we found up there (she's in this stage to "completely redecorate my room" so yeah)
I told my dad and at first he was lke, "Naimah..." but when told him how much cleaner the attic was and how much money he saved on not buying me an IKEA shelf, he went to the attic and brought it in my room LOL
I had to reorganize some things: I put my TsumTsum collection at the very top with a pretty storage organizer, a canvas N painting that I did myself, and an old Polariod camera for decor.My big gymnastcs trophies are on my dresser with my school supplies basket
I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! It actually brightens my room and makes it look WAY bigger than it is

I KNOW I said this would be daily but gymnastics and schoolwork have been EATING up my time
But Im here to share a special story: I HAD MY FIRST KISS

So y'all should remember Michael right? (NOT his real name but for privacy)
He plays for my dad's football team and the school's basketball team.
BUT OF COURSE!!! TELL!!!!O.O
Well him and The Boys had a basketball game today and they lost but mostly cause the refs were calling stuff that wasnt even legit, and other bad ref stuff.
We lost by 2 points..CURSES! But after the game me, my little bro, older sis, younger sis, and my dad went on the basketball court to chat.

So my dad was talking to coaches and whatever, my little sibs were fighting and my older sis was on her phone
Some of the boys think my older sis is like a goddess (as do ALL THE BOYS I'VE EVER MET) but she dont know them as well as me, but she secretly tries to be "sexy" around the boys though she wont admit it
She REALLY tries to get to Michael sometimes too. So she was on her phone, tryna look cute or whatever and I talked to the boys. "Y'all, its okay. You lost because, honestly, the refs messed up. If they played fair y'all woulda won" They was in agreement and made jokes about the refs eyesight and I laughed. Michael smiled at me and was like, "Cookie, wanna get a Gatorade?"
They call me Cookie cause I bake for them :). So Im like "Sure!" I told my older sis where I was goin in case our dad asked Her: Where you goin?
Me: With Michael to get Gatorade
Her: I'll go
Me: NO. You stay. You dont even DRINK Gatorade...you're not an athlete
So we went to the food stand, grabbed a blue Gatorade and after that he lead me towards a part of the school I didnt know and remember Im homeschooled and I aint NEVER been to a school unless it was for games and my dad works at The Boys school, so I go to see them sometimes. So when Michael took me to some locker area or some place I kinda was like O.O WOOOOOOWWW
Michael: C'mere....*pats seat next to him*Me *sits and looks at his hair* Its all messed up again, I'll fix it.
I did his hair for the basketball game btw. Michael sometimes likes it when I braid his hair for games or just when we hangin out. I asked him while I fixed his braids, "Why are we here? I have to leave soon Michael." Note: the braids were in two cornrows ;)
He said, "I had to show you something I dont want the boys to see." He turned around, held my arms, and looked at me for a second then KISSED ME (Note: WITH TONGUE)
OH MY GOSH THIS IS GETTING INTENSE!!!!!!!
I was SO SHOCKED!!! Boys have NEVER liked me!! It was always my older sis. I was like, "Michael!"
I was so shocked I fell out my seat! NEVER IN MY LIFE has ANYONE ever kissed me. He's my first kiss. He said, "Im sorry, I just HAD to....You're really nice to me and make me feel better when stuff pisses me off. I like it when you hang out with us and when you listen to me and whatever..."
Oh my god what he say?!?!O.O
I kinda blushed and was at LOSS for words
He lifted me up, held my hand and hugged me then lead me out. When we went back to the basketball court, surprisingly most people was still there I think cause another game was going on. My dad was still talking to random folks since EVERYONE knows him
My older sis came over and was like, "Where did you go?" *glances at Michael*
Michael: Just hangin out.....Sister: Oh really? Where did-
Michael: Hey is that Chance the Rapper you listenin to? He's great..
Sister: Oh yeah, well I think its pretty good *slightly pushes me aside to talk*
She then started talkin and basically turned him around and walked off talking. He DID look back at me and I shrugged
I like him a lot but I cant date! My parents wont let me! And if they find out about this, I wouldnt be allowed to talk to them anymore
But Michael is a sweetheart! He was always flirty and he sends me messages through email since he know I aint gotta phone :P
I also have mixed feelings....I like him but part of me still wants just family Michael
Then again, I REALLY like him GGAAAHHHHH THESE FEELS
