I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, Peg! Many years ago I lost my husband suddenly as well. Keeping busy and surrounding myself with friends and family helped me through it. Hugs!!!

Peg, I am so sorry for your loss. We may be weird pixels on the internet, but know we are around if you need. And if what you need is to read, we are all over that too ;)
I'm so sorry to hear your news, Peg! Please know that we are here and will support you in any way we can. Big hugs to you.
Peg, I'm so very sorry to hear about your loss. What a terrible shock. Sending lots of hugs your way and I hope you are able to find comfort and healing in whatever ways you can.
I am sorry for your loss Peg. As already said, us lot here at ylto are here for you should you need us.Take care of yourself.
Thank you all so much. He was truly my best friend and I am still struggling with it. Cherie, it wasn't a tooth that went from cancer. He had a toothache, and went to the dentist that referrred him for an impacted wisdom tooth. It actually was cancer in the jawbone and once they opened it up, it spread and grew like wildfire. We'll never know how long it had been growing in there, but that was the first symptom he had. I feel we just never had time to gear up for the fight. So back on track with all my reading challenges. I love the escapes, the new learning for the mind and the great conversations and fun.
Part 23/12
Dark Matter
Question #17 What country where you born, read a book set there or an author from there.
Born in USA, this book was set in Chicago and the author lives in Colorado.
I really did, it was only the ending that made me hesitate on another star. I just feel like it was a bit rushed, but it did stay true to the characters. To me, it had a very good flow, never pretentious, and didn't rely on some of the old standby plot tricks. When you read it, let me know what you think. It's hard for me to not give away spoilers in a review on this one.
Part 24/12
Mexico: Stories
Question #13 What is my favorite food. I answered Mexican, although anything with some 'bite' to it, especially spicy, is what I go for.
Part 25/12
Frankenstein
Question # 5 What is my favorite movie?
I love Young Frankenstein with Gene Wilder. The Movie is actually a far reaching adaptation of the book, but I hope it's ok that I took the liberty with it this way.
