I'm gonna recommend :
- Catch-22, book I'm actually reading
- 1984 by Orwell, or Brave New World by Huxley
- The Stranger by Camus (I had exam on this bad boy)

Also, perhaps "The Remains of the Day" by Kazuo Ishiguro. Or "The Perfume" by Patrick Süskind.
(Only fiction, I know. I'm terrible.)

A Brief History of Time - Stephen Hawking
Bad Science -Ben Goldacre

Maybe Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy? Xx

A Brief History of Time - Stephen Hawking
Bad Science -Ben Goldacre"
My vote for both Brief History of Time and Grapes of Wrath

Sidartha Mukerjee is a Pulitzer winning author and a Rhodes scholars whose last book, cancer the emperor of all maladies, which was made into an amazing Ken burns docu-series, is listed as one of the most influential books of all time by time mag.

Now I'm not good at summaries so I'll skip out on that part, but the book deals with issues such as racism, and identity crises and all of that

If it is, I'd like to throw in my hat for Americanah by Chimimanda Ngozi Adichie, a (really) fantastic and thought-provoking book!
Otherwise A Brief History of Time :D

Jane Eyre or Sense & Sensibility.
We can also pick up any other novel from the classics genre.

I agree

But for something else, how about Waking Up by Sam Harris? Tackling a topic of spirituality from a scientific point of view (e.g. the effects of meditation on the brain), leaving out all the mumbo jumbo. Fairly short book, insanely well written and clear as can be.

1. The Universe in Your Hand: A Journey Through Space, Time, and Beyond
2.Morning Star (Red Rising, #3)
By Brown, Pierce *
3.Are We Smart Enough to Know How Smart Animals Are?

Thanks
