I wish I could handle listening to the narrator and not being bothered when the gender is different from the book. I am loosing my eyesight but can't stand listening to a male voice read the female's part.

I had the same issue when I first began with audio books, but Rosalyn Landor is so good at male voices that I completely forget the gender difference. She and Kate Reading are the best female narrators out there, IMO.

As for male narrators, British actor Alex Wyndham is by far the best. He has narrated all of Lucinda Brant's Roxton romances, and again, it is very easy to forget that one person is doing all of the characters. You might want to try Noble Satyr and see whether it suits you.

I'm listening to a Julia Quinn book narrated by Lucy Rayner, and I miss Rosalyn Landor so much! She is just the best!!
