Ooooh Matthew Riley - good idea. Love him. Should be able to pick it up anywhere as well. On the off chance that I don't find that do you think the orange covered Penguin Classics count? I've been meaning to finally read Call of The Wild.

I read them all the time! It's one of my favorite genres! =o)
?? Is this the book you mean? Probably not for orange cover.
?? Penguin Modern Classics: The Complete List, including why read the classics? by Penguin Classics
If this is the book you mean then absolutely.

Oh no neither of those - you know the penguin classic editions you can get from any moderately good bookstore with the orange covers and a thick white band around the middle displaying the title and author? Do they count as orange?

Sorry, I'm not familiar with those. Does anyone else know about these??
Can you give me a title and author?
If they do count, then I just need to find three more books! Woohoo! I need:A fight and make up, an uncomfortable read and a kiss on the front cover.
Until then - I'm off to read!
Finished my 1st for this challenge - P - Read a book with Paranormal aspects- Dead to the World
Charlaine Harris 3.5★
Kissing on the cover was hard for me, too. I used:
The Cryptographer by Alice Wallis-Eton
What kind of books do you like? I'll try to help with the other categories.

Aahh! I got it now. I had no idea what Asa-Marie was talking about.
Thanks Brenda! =o)

Excellent! Good to know. So now I just need the fight and make up and the kiss on the front cover!! Yay!!
Hiya again Asa-Marie, I took a peek at your to-read books in order to get some ideas for the last 2 categories, Asa-Marie. I hope you don't mind. I found these that you've marked as books in your library. All of them would count for kissing on the cover, and they would all work for fighting and making up, too.
The biggest part of this challenge was putting together a list of books for me too!
Plus One by Elizabeth Fama
Aimée & Jaguar: A Love Story, Berlin 1943 by Erica Fischer
Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles
My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
These would qualify for the 'fighting and making up' I would think:
These are just examples, but it might help you get the idea for this category.
My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult
Beloved by Toni Morrison
The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen
Best of luck.
Hope this helps. =o)

Oh thanks so much! I ended up going with Aimée & Jaguar: A Love Story, Berlin 1943-
I am currently readingThe Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
(LOVE it) which is about the German occupation on Guernsey in World War II - so it seems a nice follow on from that.I have completed my list!! Woohoo!! However, I am not sure ifPeople of the Book
by Geraldine Brooks fits into the 'Set in multiple countries' category. What do you think? Have you read it? I started it a while back and never finished it...she starts off in Australia and then flies the protagonist to Vienna (if I recall correctly) and then the book goes into the history of the book the story is about, which is set in Sarajevo...so now I say it out loud (so to speak) I think it qualifies!
For your first question, I would say that
People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks does work for more than one country.
I don't think that there is a limit of the number of books you can use by the same author. I've used several books by the same author in challenges, and I've seen others do that too. I would say as long as each separate book qualifies for each part of the challenge, then it should be ok.
I'll message you in your profile with an example of a challenge I did this way.
I'll also give you the link that our fellow Aussie friends gave me so you know how to cross out, list your books, etc. Ok?

I think I've found my "U" book that will be uncomfortable to read. I'm listening to Maralinga by Judy Nunn. It's very well written, but I wasn't aware of the specific details of what happened at Maralinga and it is certainly difficult to read. I guess some of it is Judy Nunn's imagination, but I would also guess that it is based on research she has done on what went on there. I hadn't appreciated exactly what happened at Maralinga and the way that our native Aboriginal people were treated before, during and after the testing and what happened to some of them afterwards. It is awful...
I "loved" that book Kathryn - it was made special for me because my Dad was up there at one stage early in his life.
Brenda wrote: "I "loved" that book Kathryn - it was made special for me because my Dad was up there at one stage early in his life."Was he working with the testing, Brenda? If he was, I don't suppose he probably talked too much about it...
I don't think so - I know it was when he had just met Mum and they were courting. He lived in a hut with other men. No he didn't talk about it much; I can't remember too much at all really... a shame and now he's gone I can't ask details either!

I've got a feeling it's about 50 years...? And it seems like anyone involved had to sign the Official Secrets Act. Although if it was before your parents were married, it must have been earlier in the 20th century, I'm guessing, so would have been before the British started using it as a bomb test site...
Just finished The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
This was for my letter R, read a book with a goodreads rating higher than 4.
I loved it so very much, what a shame she died before she could see it published.

Well done! I think it was more difficult to come up with the list then reading the books! The reading is a snap!

I know - so sad. I often wonder what authors would think if they could know in advance how much difference their books would make after their lives here had finished.
