Helica G | 2 comments Amazing book that i read a few years ago. I just can't remember he title. But it was about 5 (i think it was 5) teenagers each with a unique ability. They all go to a (purple?) house to train or be trained by some scientists. At some point they leave the house and one of the kids (a guy) can't choose between the good and bad side. He's kind of back and forth. And the cover of this book was dark. I think black with some purple. And it might have a girl on it. Also the the guy that was bad and good sometimes he was like a vampire? Except instead of drinking blood, he drank the souls of people, or energy. Something like that. And the other guy (good guy) he was a healer.

Marie | 273 comments L.J. Smith's Dark Visions trilogy is like that. The main character is a teenage girl with prophetic visions. She's recruted and sent to a house with other teenagers like her where their abilities are studied.

One of the guys is a broody teenage boy who turns out to be a psychic vampire. He's the one who is sort of tempted by the dark side, but also has a gigantic crush on the heroine. So that's why there's a back and forth like you described.

There's a love triangle 'cause another guy in the group is a nice, good-looking healer. When he heals people, he gets a glimpse into their minds. At one point, the psychic vampire is really wounded and the healer realises the guy's feelings for the heroine when he tends to his wounds.

Great series. I liked it a lot more than the author's Vampire Diaries.
