Herana could smell the sweet sea breeze as it flew over the shore and up the hill, the sun was setting behind the domed roof of the observatory. she loved this time of the day because it gave that inspiration of life that is rare to truly feel.
Estienne was already standing there at the Observatory, he had been planning to take a peek at the stars but instead, got carried away byy the setting sun. Though his expression didn't change, cold and hard as always, Est was appreciating the moment. It perturbed him a little to know that his mother had started as a TA here. It was always strange when others learnt that they were in fact mother and son and not lovers. Not that they acted like lovers, but they had the kind of close bond that could be misinterpreted because they looked similar in age. When really Pherenike was thousands of years older than he was.

she slid down the rocks with a bare fraction of a sound as the wind caused her blonde hair to trail behind her as her dress almost flipped up. she decelerated to stop slightly behind the guy.
"surprise: hello." Herana said in her normal and emotionless tone she always used in communication, she found the need for emotional expression in physical gestures unnecessary.
Estienne who'd been lost in the moment, flickered his eyes over at the girl who'd suddenly appeared beside him. Then he looked back, not even bothering to take in her look. He caught sight of her ears and that was enough.
"Goodday," he said pleasantly and coolly enough. she looked young, that was for sure. And as a Teaching Assistant at the School, he shouldn't need to involve himself with the students much. Apparently anyway.

"Estienne," he said briefly, not bothering to elaborate to the angel. He stared intensely at the ocean currents, at the waves that were crashing against the rocks below him. He was the Angel of Vengeance, but not everyone had to know that. Why would they want to know that for? THat was not something you tell people. Vengeance, it's quite a deadly thing after all.

"Do you always have to state whethere you are making a statement or a question?" He asked, becoming irriated. He knew it was a statement, and that it was a question, but did she have to say it all the time? The quirks that some people have. Then again, what would he know? He hardly knew anyone beside his small group of friends. And that...was not many. Just a small group of angels as old, or older than he was. Such as the former Angel of Death, and the woman known as Kleopatra Selene. Both very old, both having lived many years.

Estienne looked at her then, "you know what. I'm not surprised." He sighed and turned around striding over to the observatory. And then looked up as the stars began to appear. He had been about to use the observatory but then changed his mind. The sky was clear enough the way it is.

The breeze ruffled his hair, blowing it a bit across his eyepatch. He sighed, Estienne didn't particular have a reason for being here, and though he wanted to ignore the angel because he had better things to do, hiss mother would scold him, probably, for being rude. He looked over at her, and frowned a bit. "Your sister...?"

Her ability told her that he mainly gains power from his fallen suit and it was unlikely for him to forget anything. His weaknesses would be the fact that he is easily manipulated in the area of the mind among other things but that didn't really help her.
The sea breeze grew soft and caressing as the sun meet the horizon on the water, giving the water a golden glow.
((lols no I haven't, but I'll just be slow replying...everyone I'm rping with is detailed atm))
"Sounds like a handful," he simply replied. Estienne had never really heard of a succubus failing, but it didn't surprise him. Especially if she was a cross breed kind of vampire-succubus demon.

"agreement: it is but I have Reaper mother to help." Herana agreed. the wind had stopped and Herana's hair had been blown out of position. she brushed her hand through her hair to make it rest behind her ears and behind her shoulders. she then parted her fringe so that it was evenly split across her face, framing it in green.
((Totally ^^" Imma gonna die....))
"Reaper Mother?" Estienne asked curiously, the first sign of emotion he had shown all evening. Probably because it seemed so unusual for him, but then, he couldn't deny that he didn't have a mother. Not when she was in the school, one of the most attractive teachers present. That bothered him, knowing that someone could possibly hit on her. Even though he shouldn't care at all.

"clarification: yes, Reaper mother" Herana repeated as she looked at his eye-patch. to make people reveal about themselves? that could be useful. Herana thought, maybe she could get him to use it on her to see if she could counter it? the sun was already half eaten by the waves and the Angel/demon powers should be coming back.
((Pffttt haha, that's great, *phew* and here I thought I'd have to worry XD))
"I take it, not a natural mother like your sister is not your natural sister," he stated noticing that she had noticed his eyepatch. He wondered what she was thinking, much less, feeling. He considered taking out his card to read her history. But then thought otherwise. He probably didn't want to know if he had to kill her on a vengeance rampage.

"inquisition: do you use that Tarot deck?" She asked as she pointed to where the cards were hidden in his clothes, she wondered what they would tell her if he used them.
She really didn't sound sarcastic at all if she hadn't informed him that she was being sarcastic. So he didn't respond, not to the sarcasm anyway. He looked at the inner pocket where he stored his precious cards, and looked at her, with a steady, heavy gaze. "And you would know of it, why?" he said coolly.

"Yes, I can obviously use them. Perhaps it would have been better to use 'will' since I will not use them at this moment. But I can as in ability, use them," he said, somewhat meanly. But he didn't care. He was somewhat a stickler for grammar usage. Then again, it was only because that's how he was taught, when he wasn't busy being rebellish and making Perry worried about him.

((Yeah I gotta work on my essay.... *sigh* it;ll take me ages to reply.))
Estienne sighed, again with the use of could. Of course he could. He was capable. But whether he wanted to or not...most likely not. Since he wasn't exactly into looking at random people's futures. Must less their past. With his powers, it was more dangerous.

"I could. But I don't feel like it," he said.

"No," he said firmly. He didn't just read the cards any time he was asked. There had to be a good enough reason.

Estienne merely raised a brow. "As useful as you seemed to be, I don't recall possessing feelings for any particular individual at this present moment in time, unless...I have some unknown crush that I was not aware of?" He said looking at the girl. He was pretty sure he'd never really felt any emotions for anyone much less...a woman in particular.

((Oh crap, sorrry!!! I didn't see this :/ thanks for the reminder ^^))
"You're so sure. And if I said, no thank you?" Said Estienne. He fiddled with his jacket. He wasn't easily tempted. But well, she was particularly persistent. It made him wonder what she wanted to learn. Whatever he saw though, would come to pass eventually, if he was looking at the future. If he was looking at the past, he would perhaps see something that should have been forgotten. Very delicate kind of procedure that he usually did not look at unless it was an assignment.

"Question, is there a particular reason why you keep insisting?" Estienne shot back at her, raising a brow. Looking into the cards was well...they did come Amaterasu as part of his fallen suit. And they were specially crafted.

(I will reveal the exact conversation the red cloaked man had with her in the story later on.)
(I also was looking at the demons list and saw Sidis, I think I know who was chasing them.)
((Lols, Maveric's characters?))
"A red cloaked man is insisting you harass me about using my cartomancy?" Estienne said coolly. He narrowed his eyes and observed her more carefully. Ridiculously emotionless, worse than him. And her wya of speaking...well, it was both irritating and useful. then again the quality of her voice never changed, so Estienne had a little difficulty reading her.

"Confirming: a red cloaked man advised me to find a way to look over past events and glimpse ones from the future, he said that it is the only way to succeed." Herana confirmed(I feel like I don't need that part anymore) the Red Cloaked man said that among other things but the intention was clear enough.
((Yeah...I'll bet he does. ))
"Succeed in what?" Estienne asked. He was curious, though it didn't show. And he was interested, though he wouldn't say it. He was not averse to knowing of the future, it was just that he didn't ordinarily look into it unless for an assignment.

"I don't like you. I don't like this red-cloaked man either. However, perhaps I will look at the cards, just this once. Mostly because the cards are telling me to," he said bluntly, feeling the tingling between the cards and himself. When Ama created them for him, like the other parts of his suit, they were created in connection with who he was. And if something should be used, or done, then one of his six pieces would tell him exactly what should be done.

((Lols, it really is unnecessary XD))
Estienne snorted, "Not here. I don't read my cards out in the open where the weather could possible affect the result. We go inside," he said looking up to the school and started walking in that direction, pausing to make sure that she was coming.

Estienne took big strides. He didn't keep pace with anyone except the three women in his life he gave consideration to. So even though he knew she lagged behind him, he just kept walking, somehow managing a steady pace across the rocky surface.
((Pick a place to go next?))
