D. Marie | 5 comments Hi, I would like for someone to correct the name of my book please. It's titled 'Homies, Lovers & Friends: The Beginning...not 'The Beginning (Homies, Lovers & Friends). Thanks

☕ Lachgas ♿ (lachgas) | 9386 comments But the cover looks like "homies, lovers,..." is the name of the series and "the beginning" the title of book 1 of the series - then the GR title is correct.

D. Marie | 5 comments It is. It's also the main title of the book w/The Beginning as a subtitle which is how I'd like for it to appear please.

☕ Lachgas ♿ (lachgas) | 9386 comments The title was changed in november by an active librarian, so I won't revert that. But I try to contact her so that you can discuss that with her.

The librarian was following Goodreads policy, so there's no real point in contacting them.

Goodreads lists book titles as Book Title (Series Title #x), regardless of how they are listed on other sites.

Krazykiwi | 1767 comments As a reader, I think it's super cool. It's one of the best things about GR compared to almost all other book sites.

I (or any GR user) can look at any authors books, and no matter how weird and wonderful the cover looks, how complicated the series and subtitles and titles etc are, on GR I can figure out immediately if the book is part of a series, and more importantly where in the series it falls so I can find the start of it if I want to start reading. Or if it's unnumbered, I know it doesn't matter where I start.

GR's normalising of titles makes things a lot easier for readers who might want to read your books to figure out how to do that, isn't that a good thing?
