Melanie | 592 comments It's a ya book, written recent at least in the 5 years. It set in when there were kingdoms and dungeons. The main character is a girl is believe she maybe a slave but not sure but anyways she has the power to kill and either the prince or king is trying to control her for their own plans

Marie | 273 comments In Graceling by Kristin Cashore, there are people with different-colored eyes who have weird abilities. All of those people can be essentially "claimed" by the king, I think: taken from their families when their abilities reveal themselves if the king thinks they can be useful to him. The main character is originally thought to have the power of death because she slapped a noble who hit on her and he died instantly. The king trains her and uses her as an (unwilling) enforcer against his people. She joins a rebellion and meets a prince from another country with a power of his own.

Also, I think there's another prince with a crush on her and he really becomes a douche about it at one point.

Great book, one of my favorites.

Megan Doreen | 27 comments Were her powers to kill supernatural? Or was she just good at it? Was there a romance in it?

Here are some possibilities of recent YA books with female assassins:
Graceling
Throne of Glass
Grave Mercy
Seeker

Also...I hadn't realized till I saw your query how much I apparently enjoy novels about teenage assassins...

Melanie | 592 comments Hi thanks but nope it's none of these :(
It's here super powers I guess. I believe the book has mages in it too. I know there is a scene that the prince and the girl are in the dungeon and he's telling her that she needs to cooperate or else

Marie | 273 comments Touch of Power is about a girl with a power to heal, but there is some other stuff in there that might explain why you think she can kill. There was a plague the healers couldn't and/or wouldn't heal, so the populace became convinced they were spreading it and a mass genocide took place to eradicate healers (who were thought to be the source of the plague). There is some other stuff too with gigantic flowers that swallow people and either kills or heals them. Healers are linked to that.

The main character is the last remaining healer. A prince kidnaps her to heal another prince, who is a prisoner of another prince who also kidnaps her at one point. Most of them threaten her a bunch of times

Brittany (weareattached) | 221 comments Maybe Red Queen. Red Queen (Red Queen, #1) by Victoria Aveyard I'm fairly certain there's a scene in a dungeon in this one when they try to escape.
