Mary, since January seems like a good time to sit in front of a cozy fire and knit, I'll choose Sally Goldenbaum: Seaside Knitters for you."

Connie,

That is great, I've been wanting to get back to Sally's books again and now I can. Thanks,

Mary

Jeanne (oldemill) | 204 comments Sharon - The only series of yours that I have read is the Hamish Macbeth series, which I have really enjoyed. However, I have read several great reviews on the Maisie Dobbs series recently so I choose Maisie Dobbs for you.

Marisa (moretta) | 421 comments I've finished A Spell of Trouble. It has been a nice reading althogh I've enjoyed more other series. The jury is still out till I read the second one in the series (now I'm in a romance reading mood but I hope to read it before the end of January).

message 70: by Linda (new)

Linda (rudylkr) | 716 comments Just finished my second book for the challenge - Shoes To Die For. This series is so much fun and so funny!

message 71: by Marisa (new)

Marisa (moretta) | 421 comments I've finished Spell Disaster and I've found a bit too much teen for my liking. I think I'll read the next book for knowing about the background history, but I don't know if I'll go further.

message 72: by Helen (new)

Helen (helennn) | 1020 comments I finished my first, The Housewife Assassin's Deadly Dossier, the prequel to the series, while on holidays in Solomon Islands.
Definitely not a cozy mystery. The first few chapters were so graphic it nearly put me off, but I persisted, and ended up quite enjoying it.
In restrospect, I might have been better starting with the first book written, which I am reading now.

message 73: by Barbara (new)

Barbara Sousa | 504 comments I'm afraid I have fallen a bit behind in my series commitment. I got distracted by work and this month's BOTM selection - Twisted Threads (which is excellent!). I am only halfway through the first book -- Double Shot by Diane Mott Davidson (which I am enjoying so far). Hope to finish it by month-end and finish the next one shortly thereafter. Will skip next month to make sure I can do so.

message 74: by Anna Catharina (new)

Anna Catharina Several days ago I finished my second February book Dressed to Kilt (Scottish Highlands, #3) by Hannah Reed Dressed to Kilt by Hannah Reed. It was a nice and quick read, but after the finish it felt like the end of the serie... and actually it's no further book announced. Maybe it's really the end?

message 75: by Gary (new)

Gary Sundell | 794 comments Hannah Reed aka Deb Baker is a GR author, drop her a line and ask her.

message 77: by Beth (new)

Beth Monsebroten | 55 comments I finished the Candy Cane Murder (Hannah Swensen, #9.5) by Joanne Fluke Candy Cane Murder. I love these books.

message 78: by Connie N. (new)

Connie N. | 499 comments I agree--I like this series. Always a nice light read. I'm not as far along as you are, though, Beth.

message 79: by Helen (new)

Helen (helennn) | 1020 comments I finished my second challenge book, The Housewife Assassin's Handbook, more than a week ago, but have been having internet problems since I moved home nearly 1000 km. Finally back online and able to report.
Again, I am a little surprised that this series are classified as cozies. I enjoyed it, but wouldn't recommend it to anyone upset by explicit sex and/or violence.
