Sharon - The only series of yours that I have read is the Hamish Macbeth series, which I have really enjoyed. However, I have read several great reviews on the Maisie Dobbs series recently so I choose Maisie Dobbs for you.

Thanks, Jeanne. I read the first Maisie Dobbs a few months ago and I've wanted to read more but I've been holding off until someone picked her for me. I can hardly wait for New Year's day!
Finished the first of my two serial reads, a really fun read. Thanks Beth for the choice for this month.

Just finished my first book yesterday and really enjoyed it. On to some other challenge books before coming back for book 2.
I just finished the second Maisie Dobbs book, Birds of a Feather. I am really enjoying this series! I discovered it by accident a few months ago and have had it on my series list since then. On to book three.
I finished my first January White House Chef selection last night. I'm so glad to get back to this series.
Just started my second book in the Mystic Isle Mystery series. It seems someone ran over Pere Noel prior to his appearance at the resort's Christmas Party.

Finished my first January book, "Hooked on ewe" by Hannah Reed
At the beginning I had some problem to get into the book but then it was really good and kept me guessing til the end.
I've finished A Spell of Trouble. It has been a nice reading althogh I've enjoyed more other series. The jury is still out till I read the second one in the series (now I'm in a romance reading mood but I hope to read it before the end of January).
Just finished my second book for the challenge - Shoes To Die For. This series is so much fun and so funny!
I've finished Spell Disaster and I've found a bit too much teen for my liking. I think I'll read the next book for knowing about the background history, but I don't know if I'll go further.
I finished my first, The Housewife Assassin's Deadly Dossier, the prequel to the series, while on holidays in Solomon Islands. Definitely not a cozy mystery. The first few chapters were so graphic it nearly put me off, but I persisted, and ended up quite enjoying it.
In restrospect, I might have been better starting with the first book written, which I am reading now.
I'm afraid I have fallen a bit behind in my series commitment. I got distracted by work and this month's BOTM selection - Twisted Threads (which is excellent!). I am only halfway through the first book -- Double Shot by Diane Mott Davidson (which I am enjoying so far). Hope to finish it by month-end and finish the next one shortly thereafter. Will skip next month to make sure I can do so.
Several days ago I finished my second February book
Dressed to Kilt by Hannah Reed. It was a nice and quick read, but after the finish it felt like the end of the serie... and actually it's no further book announced. Maybe it's really the end?
Gary wrote: "Hannah Reed aka Deb Baker is a GR author, drop her a line and ask her."Thanks Gary,
I didn't thought at this opportunity! I will try it and hope my english is good enough to send her my question :D
I agree--I like this series. Always a nice light read. I'm not as far along as you are, though, Beth.
I finished my second challenge book, The Housewife Assassin's Handbook, more than a week ago, but have been having internet problems since I moved home nearly 1000 km. Finally back online and able to report.Again, I am a little surprised that this series are classified as cozies. I enjoyed it, but wouldn't recommend it to anyone upset by explicit sex and/or violence.

Mary, since January seems like a good time to sit in front of a cozy fire and knit, I'll choose Sally Goldenbaum: Seaside Knitters for you."
Connie,
That is great, I've been wanting to get back to Sally's books again and now I can. Thanks,
Mary
