I believe the heroine ends up being something of an avatar for the Archer - possibly has to fight/kill her father. Heroine has to pretend to be the "softer" sister who's body she now inhabits; father possibly arranged for her (original bodie's) death.

"remind"? Archer? So many questions...

"Remind" is an autocorrect artifact - meant to be "rounder". As I recall a theme for the book was the heroine's original body/persona revolved around toughness, fitness, strength etc and a big part of the shock of ending up in her sister's body was that it was a very different body type/persona.

Archer was either a family name or a modern way of referencing Sagittarius, known as the Archer.

10-15 years ago as a paperback. I'd be surprised if it was published much before that.

So, the zodiac signs have avatars? Did they have powers/magic, or something?

Any vague remembrances on why the father might've had her killed? Or why she might've had to kill her father? I know you're unsure if that was actually the case, so I'd take any ideas with a hefty grain of salt, but more ideas are better than fewer.
