[Andrea]

The vampire brothers Damon and Stefan Salvatore, eternal adolescents, having been leading "normal" lives, hiding their bloodthirsty condition, for centuries, moving on before their non-aging is noticed. They are back in the Virginia town where they became vampires. Stefan is noble, denying himself blood to avoid killing, and tries to control his evil brother Damon, who promised to Stefan an eternity of misery. Stefan falls in love with schoolgirl Elena, who has an uncanny resemblance to the Salvatore brothers old love, Katherine; and whose best friend Bonnie, is a witch.

I haven't read the books, but I was obsessed with the show, and I gave it up when Elena didn't choose the brother I rooted for. I'm sorry I'm a turd like that if things don't pan out the way I want in a love triangle then it turns me off lol. I seriously quit the show...

I kind of got annoyed with Elena by Season Five. Is that bad to say? I don't remember what it was that annoyed me the most but she drove me bonkers. I think it was always the constant whining and crying and me me me.

Ugh, yes. There were many times I wanted to call her a dirty word.

I honestly have to say I was kind of glad when I heard she left the show but I figured they wouldn't get to much further afterwards. Sad that they are canceling it but the guys are getting older and you can tell a little.

Are they canceling it? I didn't know that. Seems like it would be soon though. I thought last season would be the end.

Every show I've ever watched had a bad season five, and as much as I love VD I found it hard to enjoy as much as I usually do. Elena was so whiny and worried about becoming human again when it was her choice to die so Matt could be saved. And Matt is totally useless anyway! I thought it would end quickly after she left the show, but now that the end is around the corner I want to cry. This is my all time favorite show, it even beats The Walking Dead.

I have been trying to power through Season Five. I still haven't gotten 10 episodes into it. But she was just driving me nuts that I just couldn't do it anymore. I may watch like one episode every few days or so it just depends on how badly she is annoying me during whatever episode I am watching.

I read part of the books, they were okay and then they kind of sucked! I am currently still watching the show even though (thankfully this is the last season) this current season and last one sucked a lot.

I am still trying to power through five. Maybe I should skip five. Or does tons of important information happened later in the season so I shouldn't skip five.

It's good, not sure if you woud miss anything by skipping it.

I may try skipping it. What season does she leave?

6th is her last season which why 7 and current one sucks
