Could it be possible God changed his mind and later decided to create all that's being and yet to be discovered beyond earth?
I can only anthropomorphize God after myself and further as someone with art schooling to think watching the same old reality show he directed once upon a time would get a bit old.
That and resisting the urge as the greatest creative talent there is / ever was, as the sole master architect of the heavens to never entertain a new idea with life again is beyond my comprehension :)

It seems to me that artists are having a hard time imitating nature with its glorious beauty, depth, diversity and novelty. I have no doubt that, as an Artist, God surpasses even the greatest and wildest achievements of man.
A terrifying thought for me is what the world would be like if God treats us in the same way as we treat our fellow human beings and other species on earth.

Your comment reminded me of G.K. Chesterton. In Orthodoxy he looks at the notion of creativity from a very unique perspective:
A child kicks his legs rythmically through excess, not absence, of life. Because children have abounding vitality, because they are in spirit fierce and free, therefore they want things repeated and unchanged. They always say, "Do it again"; and the grown-up person does it again until he is nearly dead. For grown-up people are not strong enough to exult in monotony. But perhaps God is strong enough to exult in monotony. It is possible that God says every morning, "Do it again" to the sun; and every evening, "Do it again" to the moon. It may not be automatic necessity that makes all daisies alike; it may be that God makes every daisy separately, but has never got tired of making them. It may be that He has the eternal appetite of infancy; for we have sinned and grown old, and our Father is younger than we.

5) Some even doubt He wrote it himself.
6) It may be true that He created the world, but what has He done since then?
7) His cooperative efforts have been quite limited.
8) The scientific community has had a hard time replicating his results.
9) He never applied to the Ethics Board for permission to use human subjects.
10) When one experiment went awry He tried to cover it up by drowning the subjects.
11) When subjects didn't behave as predicted, He deleted them from the sample.
12) He rarely came to class, He just told the students to read the Book.
13) It is rumored that He had His son teach the class.
14) He expelled His first two students for learning.
15) Although there were only ten requirements, most students failed His tests.
16) His office hours were infrequent and usually held on a mountaintop.
