I liked... all of them. They were all a bit different. In Eragon, Eragon was just like learning everything. Then in Eldest, he mostly trained. And in Brisingr, he found out a lot of secrets, and there was a lot of action.

I think that Eragon should die killing Galbatorix and the last chapter would be his funeral and the start of a new life for all those who survived. That would be both happy and sad.

Nah I don't like that. But it would fufil the prophecy, he would leave Alagaesia, as in the world, and never return because he's well... dead. But I'd rather the death would be Murtagh instead.

Some stories deserves happy endings some deserve none. But this one does, too many bad things already happened to eragon, yes he did get a dragon and powers. But it ios more like a big responsibility and a burden to him.

so? Harry Potter deserved a happy ending. Did it get one? kind of. Sure, Harry killed Voldy, but what about all those people that died? I think something like that needs to happen, where people need to die for things to be set right. Sacrifices need to be made

Yea sacrifices do need to be made, but really when you think about it so much has already been sacrificed.

It would be okay if he left to a place far away and "never came back again." As long as it fits the story and he has defeated all he can.

Who knows. Maybe Chris has something up his sleeve...

Not serious enough? There are only few comedic scenes, lots of fighting and death, now that's serious.

yeah, that's true. I don't think of Brom much, because well... he had to die. He just did. There are some characters whom die and they needed to, because it adds to the plot, but there are others that when they die, well, they technically didn't need to. Nothing would've changed if they had lived.

Brom's death was not that sad or touchy bec. he's character was not established that much. eragon (even me) did not know he was his biological father.
