Ria Lize (rialize) | 4 comments Since there's a high angst thread and no way I'm touching that, I figured I'd make one for us who reads for that goofy grin and not a lot of kindle throwing. ;) I'm prob in the minority here but  I hope I'm not the only one.

I can handle other types of angst (homicidal maniacs, crazy family, stalkers, cheating-ex, tortured pasts, etc.), but me and constant relationship drama don't mix well. I find it refreshing when a couple stays solid, despite a rocky road ahead.

- I love heroines who are straightforward and honest, and they can be insecure but not indecisive with who they like and what they feel. I love heroes who are not afraid of commitment and going after they want even more.

Books I enjoyed:
Law Man (Dream Man, #3) by Kristen Ashley Wild Man (Dream Man, #2) by Kristen Ashley Motorcycle Man (Dream Man, #4) by Kristen Ashley Kaleidoscope (Colorado Mountain, #6) by Kristen Ashley The Gamble (Colorado Mountain, #1) by Kristen Ashley
Knight (Unfinished Hero, #1) by Kristen Ashley Raid (Unfinished Hero, #3) by Kristen Ashley
Defying the Odds (Battered Hearts, #1) by Kele Moon Under Locke by Mariana Zapata Smooth Talking Stranger (Travises, #3) by Lisa Kleypas

Anyone have any recs?

Ruth | 165 comments Good choices....

The Boss (The Boss, #1) by Abigail Barnette

Rock Chick (Rock Chick, #1) by Kristen Ashley

message 3: by BookLover (new)

BookLover just read The Will (Magdalene, #1) by Kristen Ashley and REALLY enjoyed it. Looking forward to other Kristen Ashley books!

As far as low angst goes, I found Until November (Until, #1) by Aurora Rose Reynolds and Until Lilly (Until, #3) by Aurora Rose Reynolds to be great. Lots of drama around really good romance!

message 4: by Ria Lize (new)

Ria Lize (rialize) | 4 comments @Ruth Thanks, book 5 was my first rock chick book and didn't like it, so I didn't consider trying the other in the series. Just finished book 1 today and I wanted to kick myself for not starting there lol.

@BookLover Forgot to say I've read the Will also, and it was awesome. Just finished Until Trevor the other day, Until Lilly will be on my TBR. :)

Paganalexandria | 118 comments I just finished Sweet Addiction (Sweet Addiction, #1) by Jessica Daniels , and it's light, cute, and very sexy.

I'm also surprised no one mentioned Wallbanger (Cocktail, #1) by Alice Clayton .

message 9: by Ria Lize (new)

Ria Lize (rialize) | 4 comments Thanks! Looks like I have quite a bit to look through :)

I've just read the Science of Loving and My Coyote Ugly Life recently and loved those. Also tried Wallbanger, though it wasn't my favorite.

I'm always in the search for low angst stuff and here were some I enjoyed:
- Losing Control (Kerr Chronicles, #1) by Jen Frederick , The Witness by Nora Roberts - loved to pieces <3, Animal Instincts by Gena Showalter

Cara Mckenna's ones I thought were also awesome:
- Willing Victim by Cara McKenna , After Hours by Cara McKenna , Hard Time by Cara McKenna

On the PNR side, I really liked Dragon Bound (Elder Races, #1) by Thea Harrison .

MC book that I found that was sweet and not too gritty:
- Satan's Property (Satan’s Sons MC, #1) by Celia Loren

Also, if it's any help, I have a shelf for non angsty stuff.

I'm kind of scared to touch Sweet Addiction (Sweet Addiction, #1) by Jessica Daniels lol. I've read theres some big miscommunication/misunderstanding at some point, and that might ruin it for me >.<

~Nichole~ Sizzling Pages Romance Reviews (sizzlingpages) | 8 comments I loved Losing Control (Kerr Chronicles, #1) by Jen Frederick and Taking Control (Kerr Chronicles, #2) by Jen Frederick also. I've read the Cara McKenna books too or at least 2 of them. I love PNR and need to get back to the Psy Changling series. Kresley Cole is another author who writes PNR with low angst in a lot of her books. Things are usually resolved quickly too and the stress is usually from outside forces like danger and things like that.
There might be some slight push pull in the relationship but nothing major as her alpha males know what they want.

Seductive Nights Trilogy Bundle (Seductive Nights, #0.5-2) by Lauren Blakely
has a hot love story and the small angst is resolved very quickly.
I didn't feel stressed reading it at all.
I'm gonna check out that shelf for sure Ria.

SamJ ★Needs a HEA★ | 62 comments These are a bit older now, but I love them:

To Die For (Blair Mallory, #1) by Linda Howard
Drop Dead Gorgeous (Blair Mallory, #2) by Linda Howard
Open Season by Linda Howard

The J D Robb series In Death is awesome, if very long! But the couple get together in the first book and they stay together.

message 12: by Diana (new)

Diana How about Friend-Zoned (Friend-Zoned, #1) by Belle Aurora and Love Thy Neighbour (Friend-Zoned, #2) by Belle Aurora They were very low angst and funny.

Helen | 4 comments Or Neanderthal Seeks Human A Smart Romance (Knitting in the City, #1) by Penny Reid Any of the knitting in the city books. Super-quirky h's ( easy to identify with though ).

Thanks for this thread, after a really stressful day, I don't always ( sometimes I do ), but not always , want to get an emotional rollercoaster.

message 14: by Malinda (last edited Oct 18, 2014 05:46AM) (new)

Malinda (malindad) Loving Cara (Love Under the Big Sky, #1) by Kristen Proby & Come Away with Me (With Me in Seattle, #1) by Kristen Proby were both good, low angst romances. :D

I misunderstood at first, thinking you were looking for less tortured past stuff. My reading comprehension was off during my initial post. lol

Thank you for creating this thread!!!

message 17: by Shannon (new)

Shannon (shannonvm) Lori Foster writes some really great books, very low-angst, but full of hot alpha men and the women they love! Nora Roberts is good, too, for low-angst.

Oh, read Sweet Addiction, it's one of my favorites this year! Yes, there is a part in it that is frustrating due to lack of communication, but it is so worth reading!

message 19: by Mary (new)

Mary | -56 comments Anything by Kristen Proby is low angst. The Unfinished Heros series by Kristin Ashley is fairly low angst, mostly focusing on the relationships - but a tad of action and uncertainty. Nothing heartwrenching.

No you are not in the minority. I love books like this too and they can be hard to find. I don't mind drama as long as it is done well. Angels fall and The Search by Nora Roberts is good. The secret by Julie Garwood is good too.

Yay ^_^
Just started to read more NR stuff recently and I'm loving them. I find them really refreshing reads, no contrived drama.

Adding The Search to TBR, thanks :D I remember starting a Julie Garwood book in the past but put it aside and never quite gotten back to it. Might have to give it a go again.

message 22: by Sara (new)

Sara (onlyherosneedapply) Here's one I just finished and loved. Genevieve Clare by J.B. Hartnett There's no relationship drama per se, but of course the path to true love isn't smooth, because otherwise there wouldn't be a story. That said, this is a witty and smart and quirky and beautifully written love story.

SB*needs low angst books* | 825 comments Here are some others too:

His tattooed virgin by Heather Rainier
Santa's Executive by Carrie Ann Ryan
Splendor by Janet Nissenson
Bare it all by Lori Foster
Duke Fallen MC by C J Washington
Black Out by Lila Rose
Tattoo by Cambria Hebert
Warriors Prisoner by Lietha Wards
Angels fall by Nora Roberts
The Search by Nora Roberts
Never Seduce a Scot by Maya Banks

Suzanne | 30 comments Two of my all time favorites : The Wedding Favor (Save the Date #1) by Cara Connelly and Playing for Keeps (Neighbor from Hell, #1) by R.L. Mathewson . Both are smart, funny and mucho sexy.

Sara (onlyherosneedapply) I just finished Then Came You (Animal Magnetism, #5) by Jill Shalvis which was a sweet, no angst read. I'd bet the whole series is just the same

message 27: by Lori (new)

Lori (aarjullor) | 3 comments Lani Lynn Vale has 10 books out that are low angst, starting with Boomtown (Freebirds, #1) by Lani Lynn Vale

Ahren Sanders is good! I loved Reed's Reckoning by Ahren Sanders , her other books I've enjoyed as well. I'm reading Smokescreen by Ahren Sanders now and really enjoying it.

Anything by Aurora Rose Reynolds is awesome.

Kristin Proby writes low angst romances that I really like.

Laurann Dohner's New Species series starting with Fury (New Species, #1) by Laurann Dohner is great.

I'm all about low angst.
