Do you have a book you want to read, but don't want to go it alone? Think it would be more fun to read with someone else? Then find yourself a buddy here.

To request a buddy read, make a comment in this thread stating the name of the book, the author, and the start date (if you have a preference).
We'll create a thread as soon as there is any interest in a buddy read.

I read non-stop but it's predominately fiction. I want to tackle some non-fiction this year. I am aiming for one NF a month.

My favorite book series is The Dark Tower by Stephen King, and the first movie is coming out this year. (Something I have been anticipating for years!) I really want to get the series read again before I go see it at the end of July, because I think the movie is going to be built upon the series as a whole and it has been several years since I read it.

I realize that committing to a whole series might be a bit much, but would anyone want to buddy read The Gunslinger with me?

It is a relatively short book, but I like discussing as we go along, both so I don't forget something I wanted to talk about and to keep me accountable on my reading. I will take a look at the book and see what would be a good breakdown.

Didn't think anyone would replay so fast. I've never done this before too, so do we need to wait for more people or two are enough? I can start any day from this sunday on.

Now what? We wait for a discussion board to be set-up by the moderators? We set a reading schedule (it's a rather short book, so that won't be hard), and then what?
