I finally started reading my first book, off my Goodreads Giveaways shelf - Only Time Will Tell.

And I've also spent the last couple of days compiling my list of series that I need to continue and/or finish. It's a large list. lol. My next task which I'm currently doing, is figuring out what I own out of said series list to complete these series. So I will also add those books to my Read What You Own! *whew* Lots of work.

I've never read it! I found it and was like oh wow this is so short! So I added it to my stack. :) I got an new bookcase and got to empty 2 more totes of books! Only 2 totes left! But I need more bookcases. lol

message 10: by Dawn Michelle (new)

Dawn Michelle | 3485 comments YAY for new books. And book shelves!! And YAY for only have two totes left to empty!!! That has got to be a great feeling. Maybe as you read these books and take them off your shelves, you can add from the remaining totes? :-D

Yeah, I'm not reading nearly as much off my shelves as I should be. lol. And today I bought my final 2 bookcases!! I'm so excited! I will have them in 2 weeks and then my library will be complete! Except that I will have to finally organize them alphabetically by author...

Whoops I finished Of Mice and Men a few weeks ago and I also read The Mermaid Girl, which was only 20-something pages. Haven't worked on any others yet. Ahhh!

But my library is *finished*! Every book I own is on a bookcase and they're all alphabetized by author! So exciting!

So jealous! I don't have enough shelving for all the books I own, so I still have a lot of them in boxes in the garage. (I need 2-3 more tall book cases... I'm working on it :p )

Took me 12 years to get all of my books in one place and out of totes! And took me a year almost exactly to complete my library, bookcases being what I needed! lol.

So far behind on this...but I decided to stop checking out at the library AND e-library after this last stint of books I have so I can focus on this challenge!! I can do it! lol. But I still will keep my holds and read those when they become available. Which in some cases will be MOOONTHS. Which is good! :)

message 20: by Joy (new)

Joy | 531 comments I'm not doing very well on it right now either. I have too many ARCs from NetGalley and have been using the eLibrary a lot. Fortunately for us, it's only May, so we have lots of the year left to work on it. :-)

That's what I'm glad about! lol. I have a TON of NetGalley ARCs. I stopped requesting because I can't keep up with them. :/

message 22: by Joy (new)

Joy | 531 comments I always tell myself that and then when I go to look at my shelf, I magically request some more.

message 23: by Dawn Michelle (new)

Dawn Michelle | 3485 comments So alongside the Book Rehab we all need to go to, we all need a NetGalley Rehab too?? LOL LOL

message 24: by JanB (last edited May 11, 2017 07:06AM) (new)

JanB | 980 comments YES!! Add me to the NG Rehab group too! It's stressing me out, I have a twitchy NG finger. Then I read my the GR updates and e-mail bookish newsletters, add more books I want to read then request some from the library which of course all come in at once. Then there's the unread books on my bookshelf.
I think I'm afraid if I don't buy them or request them RIGHT NOW I'll forget about a fabulous book. Which happens. I have books on my tbr shelf on GR that I don't remember why I put them there or who suggested it. But what also happens is once I own them I relax about needing to read it immediately.
It's a problem! Lol

Jan, I'm the same way! I need to get my hands on it fast and then I can put it to the side. I really need to go through my Goodreads TBR because I now have over 10,000 books!! Eep! I know that I used to add like crazy when I was entering the giveaways and I wasn't really interested in a lot of them, I just wanted free books. lol.

And yes, we definitely all need any sort of Book Rehab. lol. But I love my addiction! It could be so much worse! ;) It's certainly not bad for your health! And not the wallet either with ARCs and library! hehe.

Yeah, I know how that goes! I've managed to knock two off the list I made at the beginning of the year! (At least I've been reading some things that I've owned for a while, but none of them are the one's I planned, LOL!)

Those definitely still count, Stacie! I've been adding to mine as I've picked others from my shelf and not necessarily ones I picked out at the beginning of the year.
