David Williamson | 4 comments My book "They're All Dead" is the story of a cold case turned hot.

When Grandpa Mayfield’s grandson Jimmy, brings home from school news about an old cold case, Jimmy is shocked at Grandpa’s reaction. Jimmy didn't know it, but he had opened the door to Grandpa's secret past. The two of them go to face the police over Grandpa’s involvement when he was in high school, in the old case.
Before they finish their talks with the police, Grandpa has begun to think the people in the old case might not be dead, and they might be at work on something new. When dead bodies begin to show-up, the police are convinced. But the police have a problem, they have nothing to go on except Grandpa's memories of the people and events of the past.

I hope you enjoy the story.
David

PS - If you have a chance to read my book I would love to hear what you think.

Danielle Esplin | 4 comments Giveaway now open for Give it Back, a psychological thriller set in Seattle, Washington.

https://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/sh...

Enter for a chance to win 1 of 5 first edition copies of Give it Back. Danielle Esplin's debut novel.

“I stayed up to finish it. Scared my husband when I started yelling at my iPad because it stopped! I can see me adding this to my list of favorites and reading it over and over. I stopped watching Dr Who because I was so wrapped up in the story.”

Not long ago, Lorraine lost her husband to another woman. She thought that's the worst thing that could happen to her, but soon she realizes it's only the beginning of an everlasting nightmare.

The au pair, Lexy, moves to Seattle to help Lorraine with her infant son. But she didn't come for the kids, she came for something else.

When Ella receives a call from her sister, Lorraine, who begs her to leave San Diego to spend time with her in Seattle, she thinks she will take a few days off from work. Frightened to see how her sister weakened since her diagnoses, she packs her small bag with a foreboding that this might be the last time she sees her.

But on her way to the airport she learns that something shocking had happened between the day she last spoke with Lorraine and the morning of the flight. Lorraine’s testimony changes, making Ella question how unreliable her sister really is.

Soon Ella is entangled in a mysterious investigation, and more so, in the lives of everyone involved. Not only will she realize that she won’t go home soon, but she will never look at others the way she did before

Alexander McPhie Thanks everyone who emailed me re the earlier post and reading the advanced copy - I've now had some good feedback - made some changes here and there, and it's now out on Amazon.

The feedback from people has been great - and whodunnit has been very hard to pick, which is terrific!

It's out as a Kindle book now with the paperback to follow.

Here's the link and the blurb:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07...

On a quiet country road in the dead of night a teenage school girl is murdered.

No one hears.

No one sees.

The police begin their investigation, and everything draws a blank.

But for Detective Jane Lockwood the youth and innocence of the victim makes this more than just another case.

She's determined to solve the crime and bring the killer to justice. But in a conservative country Australian town in 1993, that doesn't want its first female detective, she ends up battling more than just the odds to see that justice is done.

In an emotionally charged turn of events Jane is pushed to the limit, and has nothing to go on except the victim's tragic drawings and the beguiling words shows so fair.

Shows So Fair is the debut crime novel from Australian writer Alexander Scot McPhie, author of The Forest of Life and Female Planet, and the feature films In My Image and Honeysuckle Way.

Shawn Schenck (shawnschenck4l) Hello, all!

I just self-published my first novel and would love to get some feedback and advice for future endeavors.

Synopsis:
Two friends, in their early 20s, get mixed up with an eccentric crime lord when they lose his supply of drugs. Psychedelic images bathe the filthy underbelly of the fictional town of Florence and the boys are pushed farther than they could have ever imagined.

“PLUG” is filled with dark-humor, pop-culture and an existential examination of modern-American culture.

Trojan

Trojan is now available for free to Amazon Kindle Unlimited Users. I’m seeking to entertain readers to the point where they provide feedback and reviews of my work.

Trojan is a techno mystery thriller I penned that’s based on a “US nuclear armament takedown what if scenario” I envisioned while serving in the US Navy.

Below are the link, description, and sample reviews of my book

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C3LWO20

Description:
What if there was an Enemy within your government hiding in plain sight?
For Victor Walker, Sr. Manager of White House Nuclear Armament Systems, neither an unexpected call to ascertain whether someone had breached the VP’s laptop, nor the fact that the VP lay bound, mutilated, and slain in his master bedroom was cause enough to set his feet on the path he now reluctantly had to take.

The sudden meltdown of America’s nuclear armament and defense systems – Star Wars, Air Force One, Doomsday Briefcase, and Guidance Systems – left his beloved country exposed to a brutal attack from an unknown enemy.

With the VP dead and America’s defense capabilities rendered useless, his assertion that a mole buried deep in government facilitated the breach fell on doubtful and accusatory ears, forcing him to go on the run to clear his name.

With the truth now in plain sight and with him holding the key to resolve the crisis, the last thing he fathomed was that there are those in government who don’t want him to do it.

He must now act and do things on American soil to people he once trusted and knew, things he once believed unthinkable, all in the name of loyalty, justice, and preservation of the American way.

“Victor, who is comparable to an extremely patriotic Jason Bourne, is an intriguing hero.” - Clarion Review

“Fans of the genre will be delighted with the book's well-crafted characters, excellent pacing, and plot.” - Publisher’s Weekly

Thanks in advance and respectfully,
David

Brett Marlo | 1 comments Greetings! I'm Brett Marlo. I'm new to goodreads and a new author in general.

I've just released The Santa Alvera Murders, a mystery thriller with heavy pulp influences. In fact, I dare say it is my version of a "modern" pulp novel. This is my first fiction book, but it has been very well received by readers so far, and I'm quite proud of it.

Here's my blurb:

Haunted by a troubled past, a mysterious woman arrives on the island of Santa Alvera for music, daiquiris, and a chance to disappear. But when a string of eerie, almost otherworldly murders grips the island, relaxation turns to obsession as she sets out to track down the killer.

Entangled in a dangerous game of deception, misdirection, and greed, she must solve cryptic clues left behind in the books of a long-dead writer to uncover the true motive for the killings.

But when the killer turns his attention to her, she must use her wits, courage, and a pair of .45 caliber handguns to put an end to him before her own dark secrets become exposed.

The Santa Alvera Murders is meant to be a fun read and I hope you will enjoy it!

It is available on Amazon and is currently available on Kindle Unlimited.
