Haha, Teresa!
I feel that if you have the opportunity to dive into a good book then take it. My date deadline rules are meant to make sure everyone has at least a month to get to their Someone Pick It. Starting early will do no harm as far as I can tell. Soft, rather than hard perimeters if you will. :)

I started mine a couple of days ago. I'd just finished another book, so I thought I'd dive straight in!

Anji, for you I pick "The pride and the prejudiced", I like modern adaptations and h..."
Carmen, I've already finished the book you picked for me. Would you like to pick another for me from my list, please?

Nothing but the Deepest Love: A Pride and Prejudice Variation 4 stars

Note: Caroline is pretty bad in this one. I have seen her worse, but she is really dealing with a short deck of cards in this one. She is dangerous and the title was spot on with revenge. It was...

Don, Debbie had Light of Dawn on her list, not me. My list was way at the beginning of this topic. I did just read it, though, and loved it. Is there one on my list you could suggest?
Thanks!

I foun,d the first choice when I cleaned today. Thank you for offering to lend the book to me. :)

Hey Barb!
If Don doesn't get the chance within a few days to see your comment, I've picked one here for you from your list: Mr. Darcy Goes Overboard. I'm curious about it.

Thanks Carmen. I haven't read any Sense and Sensibility JAFF yet, even though this has been sitting on my Kindle for over two years.

I read your pick for me earlier this week. Snowbound at Hartfield: A Sweet Tea Novella; Pride and Prejudice sequel was as good as I'd anticipated. Thanks for picking me a great one!

Sophia and Barb, the reviews are mixed on this one and you will find mine at the bottom of the barrel. I could not get into the gist of the story nor the humor. I hope it works better for you when you decide to read it. We are all different and this one just didn't work for me. I rarely give one star.

I'm glad! I' really interested to read it myself :)

Haha, well don't count on me being the understander of weird humor. I've had trouble with books before when the humor fell flat with me and left the whole experience 'awk-ward'. ;)

Hi Patricia! I finished the book you picked for me. I liked it very much! Charlotte and Maria are very canon and I enjoyed the story above all in its first half.

Thank you, thank you, Erika, for this pick! Rodi really knows his stuff—and his love for Jane Austen, especially her fierce side, shines through.

Teresa, thanks for your pick. I can't believe I've waited so long to enjoy such a wonderful story. Loved Bluebells in the Mourning.

Anyway...if you would like, here is a thought
An Unlikely Missionary
I am a fan of secondary character extensions.

Carmen, I really wanted to like this book. The storyline was fairly OK but it's the writing that spoiled it for me. Too many typos, bad punctuation and too much non-era and non-UK English language use for me. Marianne went into a "tailspin" at one point, there were "sailboats" on the sea and too many people exclaiming "Fine!" There was even an "Okay, fine!" from one character. As a Brit, I may be a bit pickier than some about the language use but there's no real excuse for the examples I've cited.
I have another book by the same author, which I think is a sequel to this one, called The Daughters of Delaford and I may read it some day but not just yet.

Glad you liked it. I cannot decide whether I like it more when they make Caroline truly EVIL, or a misunderstood jilted ex. I think I am leaning toward EVIL.

I'm so glad to read that!!! Especially ironic that title given the news yesterday about the "theory" of his looks and the terrible image they came up with. I refuse to accept Jane and Lizzy in 1790's fashions.
