I'm not sure marching band or drum corps are considered sports. I suppose if you have two teams competing against each other... but then acapella groups are similar in nature and they aren't considered sports.

Except marching band much more active than an acapella group. According to the Oxford Dictionary, a sport is defined as “an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.”

In fact, DCI is even shown on ESPN (granted it's usually ESPN 2 or 3...!)
