Felicia's floating goal of an unspecified number of books

Do you know that feeling when someone sees a book on your bookshelf and go: “Ooh, is this one good?” And you have to shamefully answer: “I don’t know, I haven’t read it.” Yeah? Well, I’m getting tired of that! So this year, I’ll be clearing my bookshelves!

I currently own 101 books, out of which I have read 52. That’s gonna change this year.



I don’t think I’ll participate in any yearly challenges this year, except two that I make for myself:

My book buying rule: Any book I buy this year must be read this year! No gathering dust with an unbroken back.
My unspecified number of books: My goal of books this year is 25 – with a twist. For every book I read under 300 pages, I add one book to my goal. So it’s kind of floating; it’s my floating goal of an unspecified number of books.

I just found https://www.bookbub.com where you can get e-books for free. It's a great thing for me personally, but a bad thing for clearing my bookshelves, because at the moment I'm adding like 500 % more books to my owned books than my read books. Not good! But hey, they're free, so good!
