Today I mostly wrote ... the word count thread.

That’s impressively organised of you Jim. I’m slightly more playing random catch up with my blog at the moment, although Life has handed me a lot of stuff on a plate so I’ve not done half the things I meant to.

That's good MT. I managed to get my paperback finalised, but life has got in the way a bit so I haven't got back to the other book yet.

Got my short story collection out this week. Now to get back 5o the WIP, but have a house guest (don't ask and I won't swear), so probably nothing this side of next week.

It is too, things are slowing up a bit now as I have to do an eyebombing calendar to try and flog this year.
On the upside, I have tidied up all four books in the upcoming series and have written the first third of another short.
It’s all go!

Mwahahahaaaaargh! Always happy to help. I'd better do a blog post for tomorrow at some point but the lovely actor who is doing my books on audio has just delivered book one. 😲😲😲😲😲💜 Squeee! But at the same time gaaaargh because it'll probably be Monday before I can listen.

Jim wrote: "always frustrating"Yeh. I managed a quick listen to the first two chapters before I went to bed last night. First impressions are excellent. :-)
Right, that blog post isn’t going to write itself.

Mwahahahaaaaargh! Bless you, thanks. It's not as impressive as it sounds, they're all 20k shorts.

Another very long phone call doing silly voices and calling it ‘work’. Really enjoying the audiobook project.

Haven't really written anything since Sunday, I've just been charging all over the place.
Haven't really written anything since Sunday, I've just been charging all over the place.Thought I might get something done over the weekend and discovered I'm busy on Saturday and not only that I've got a blog tour starting for the next Tallis books and that always seems to involve quite a lot of just keeping up with comments etc and 'chatting' to people
It's funny, if things go well, you do almost as much chatting to people as you do at a real event, but it's more spread out :-)
I can imagine, I have discovered that they can fit me in at the Christmas Fayre after all so suddenly I’m very busy too. I sympathise.

Well hopefully you'll have a good day, sell lots of books and McMini can have a whale of a time at the fair :-)

Fingers crossed. Just doing the final edits to the next short before I dump it in word and send it off to the editor. Woot!

I’ve been using NaNoWriMo to finish the first draft of something I’ve been working on for years. Mum gave it a read a little while back and told me to just focus on one idea. I’ve just written ‘The End’ on my first draft :D I’ll do nowhere near 50,000 words this month, and the entire thing is about 27,500 so it’ll need some work but the main story’s down :)

I nearly ended up writing on the motorway today such was the gargantuan amount of time I spent stationary ... not quite long enough though, got out the ipad and it started moving again, second time, getting out and climbing the bank to have a wee did it! Probably won't get much more done this week as I'll have to do the blog post tomorrow and then it's Christmas Fayre until Sunday.

     Adventures of M.T.!!
Adventures of M.T.!!Well done Claire. I am still doing NaNo to try to redo a book which I thought only needed a polish as it was completed and edited years ago when I was still trying mainstream publishers. However, got feedback from a crit group which took it off in a different direction so have been rewriting loads of it. Nearly up to the 30,000 word mark so far.
BTW, didn't want to start a new thread here - has anyone had a message on GR from someone in India offering to do reviews if you send them your book. Have only been on GR since this month and have a few books rated. I could see from their profile that they had approached another GR member, who had sent back a response along the lines of they would contact this person if they felt the need. Oddly the person approached is Italian and their whole page is in that so bit strange that someone from India was offering to read their stuff I thought. Their name is Eva'S (capital S after the apostrophe). Presumably some kind of scam? I'm still trying to get any reviews so maybe this is why I was targeted.

Sounds fishy Pam, thanks for the heads up.

Well managed NaNoWriMo, editing the next book and totally rewriting large chunks, then sent some of that round my crit group some days ago so hoping they think it is better this time ;-)

This week, as well as doing a lot of editing and making sound files of the pronunciations of all the names in my books for Gareth, who's doing the audio books, I did a lot of editing, wrote some auto responders and a blog post.
