*assuming you actually finish it

Blimmin marvellous!

*assuming you actually finish it"
It's two words that weren't there yesterday so yes. :-)

Put up more free to the public Patreon posts - I really do have an awful lot of background material, and found myself interested in my own process - so threw it up for anyone else who might be - they say to put up lots of posts.
Even with introductions and conclusions, I don't consider those posts 'writing,' because they're not fiction, but several thousand new words have gone into them.

Just need to sort out the second CD this week, then I'll launch the whole lot into, well silence, probably. Just as well the process is fun, isn't it?

Best wishes - and yes, it must have been fun. And you're well ahead of most of us.

Running the books on Amazon at the lowest possible price, I'm getting them for under £ 30 and 3 weeks earlier.

Very definitely progress. Must feel good.
We're packing - and my small attempts at writing keep getting trounced.

After a while, keeping the decorators from deciding to paint polished, finished wood white for some unnamed house buyers takes the energy out of me. The answer is no. It's criminal. I remember crying when trying to reverse the effect of that decision back in my college days - philistines!

1024 today - it's picking up momentum - just when I only have a couple of sections to go!

Not many patrons yet, but they don't tell you if you've had anyone drop by to view or actually read.
Two a month until I get settled in California (if we EVER get there). This takes me into June.

Also a blog post, and another scheduled (we're going on vacation).
Sold a number of ebooks at full price whose royalties will go to Dr. Tuller's ME/CFS investigative journalism fundraiser! Feels good to do that from the writing; my personal contribution already went in.
So writing, yes; fiction, no - communicated with new Indian friend over details of naming a Maharajah's estate, research for fiction, if not fiction.
Better than nothing, but the packing ladies for our household stuff - to be removed as much as possible before carpet installation (ours is 37 years old) - come tomorrow, and I have to be ready to tell them what to pack where for every single item in several rooms. We will still be living here while the house is on the market, plus looking for a forever home in California, so it's crucial I be able to find my sandals and bathing suits for vacation with the kids, and they can't be in one of 17 boxes labelled, "Misc." Can't wait until this part is over.

860 today and the short story now stands at 11,084. Still another scene to go. At least!

Also scheduled a blog post for next week but it has to go the week after really so I need to write another one, booo!

Thanks, Kath. Survived the first four hours - they packed an amazing amount of things - like voice-activated robots. Tomorrow, they return with more boxes.
I'd rather have your word count, but this has to be done.

But do they list Createspace as the printer? Anywhere on the paperwork? Amazon usually uses its closest distributor; maybe Createspace is printing now in Poland.

But do they list..."
It may be different now but originally I'd heard that Createspace used Lightning Source in the UK and Europe, which is also Ingram. Not sure if that's true now though.

Frankly, the Brexit negotiations seem less complex.
Ebay was straightforward, of course

I've managed about 1,500 words over the last couple of days but, of course, I've deleted about 3k!

Will, I'm sorry to hear that, although if you're getting a following it may sell best at your gigs anyway!
Did a blog post today, a happier one. https://mtmcguire.co.uk/2018/05/05/ch...

Next up, the audiobook. I've now got ACX permissions to go ahead, since I have a physical book with the same title available on Amazon, which is the first requirement.

Was too knackered to do fiction today. Was feeling a bit blue so decided I had to try and write something and managed 2,532 of the non fiction stuff. Then I was so pumped I had an idea for a short, have done an outline of the basics now, I need to whip it into shape so I can write it by numbers before I start but I might manage to do that tomorrow - I can hope.
Tomorrow, I also need to look at a proper plan for Space Dustmen if I can; detailed enough to write that by numbers. AND need to check I'm still on track with the K'Barthan w.i.p.
This doing more than one at a time is definitely working.

That should be: What have you done to the car (this time)?

The car has a lever by the driver's seat that you pull to open the boot. It's done with wires which snap, repeatedly. When the wires are snapped, you can't open the boot so you have to get a new one put on, which snaps after about six months. Serious design flaw. I will ask about having a lock and key the way I did on the old one.
