Wrong author issue

Newbie librarian attempting to move a book from one author to another hits problem!
Calling Major Tom was assigned to a David M Barnett however it seems pretty certain to me that it should be with https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... (doesn't come up on author search here for me?) and not with https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... where it currently is due to the fact I couldn't fix it (-:. Help would be good and even better how to get the correct author in in case I hot this again - the librarian help was short in help...

Edit the book and add an extra space between David and Barnett to get it onto the correct profile.

To find out in future how many spaces there are, find the correct author, look at the edit page for one of their books (any one will do).
Copy the author name as in the EDIT box of the book record, with ALL the spaces as shown.
Paste that into the wrong record.
Save.
