Ana | 3 comments The book starts with a sir describing how he came to know of the story in the scrolls. The scrolls were supposedly found in many copies in caves surrounding the old city of Jerusalem. They tell of how the night before the city fell to the templars, the people of the city gathered, the soldiers, the priests, the women, the children. In the city, the muslims, the jews and the christians lived in peace, and being afraid that the templars will destroy all the balance they created between the people and that this balance will be lost to history, they decided to write down their ways. A greek, a traveller and an observer decides to take the word, as him being someone not dedicated to any of the faiths and contributes to write the story. The chapters are written in a similar manner as in the Prophet, with each chapter debating another theme.

It's a book i've read a few years back and that for some reason i remembered it as being the Prophet by Kahlil Gibran, only to discover the other day( when re-reading the Prophet ) that my memory played tricks on me. And now, due to the story behind the book, it is almost impossible to re-find it using internet searches... I greatly appreciate any help in re-discovering this book

Any idea when it was published? Does the entire story take place in the distant past - no scenes in modern times or the present?

Ana, around what year did you read this book?

Does any part of the story take place in modern times?

Ana | 3 comments I read it three years ago.
Only the entry part takes part in modern like times ( around 1960-70), where it's mentioned how the scrolls were discovered and how the 'author' came to read them.
