Sean Thompson (seanmaliathompson) | 11 comments I have an official goodreads page, but admittedly wasn't on right when a few of my books came out.

Anyway, now I have an extra author page, and was wondering if I can just request to have the duplicate, non official page deleted? Or, do I have to just request the books listed to be deleted that are linked with the non official page.

Thanks,
Sean

monika (lunafreya) | 132 comments You can request to merge non official page with your profile. I think it will get the quickest response if you request it in this thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

but you can do it only if the "non official" profile has only your books listed, if there are some you don't recognize as yours then there must be another author called Sean Thompson and the profiles cant be merged. If that's the case please list your books that are mistakenly added to the wrong profile and we will add them to your profile

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments No need for an author merge when it only covers a few books. It's easiest for us (and you) to post the errant book records and we'll move them to you profile. If there are no followers, books or quotes on an author record, the script will delete it next time it runs.

There are two reasons for this.
1. The books end up in the right place promptly.
2. Sometimes books end up on a profile that also contains works by other authors. A merge would move ALL of those works onto your profile. As a precaution, therefore, we try to move works rather than merge records.

All that said, other than the ones mentioned in the Merge thread, are there any other works of yours that have gone AWOL onto another Author record?
