Fernanda Luppani (cachavacha) | 31 comments I noticed that the museum catalog Frida Kahlo (0935640886; Carpenter) is mixed in with the title Frida Kahlo: A Biography of Frida Kahlo (9780060085896; Herrera).

Could someone kindly make a separate entry for the catalog?
More information: www.philamuseum.org/exhibitions/278.h...

A thousand thank yous!

Abcdarian | 26579 comments I sorted out the one you give the ISBN for, but there seem to be others. I'm leaving it for someone else to figure out; there are different language editions also.

Fernanda Luppani (cachavacha) | 31 comments Thank you for your help abcdarian. I can see a new entry has been created for the catalog (0935640886; Carpenter).

A couple of pending items:
The catalog (0935640886; Carpenter) is still linked to the biography (9780060085896; Herrera)
The Portuguese edition also needs its own entry.

A new issue:
When I add the catalog (0935640886; Carpenter) to my to-read shelf, I get a duplicate entry automaticall made to my read shelf with a five-star rating. I think it's carrying over from my rating of the biography (9780060085896; Herrera).

Many thanks to anyone that can figure this one out!

lethe | 16361 comments I found a duplicate edition of the catalogue, separated it.

Why does the Portuguese edition of the biography need to be separate?

message 5: by Fernanda (new)

Fernanda Luppani (cachavacha) | 31 comments Thank you so much lethe!

My duplicate entry in my books read shelf is resolved.

The Portuguese edition also has its own ISBN: 9788525049506.

FYI, the catalog (0935640886; Carpenter) is still linked to the biography (9780060085896; Herrera).

lethe | 16361 comments That doesn't mean the Portuguese edition shouldn't be combined with the other editions.

I don't know why you still see the catalogue as linked. It has been separated from the biography.

Fernanda Luppani (cachavacha) | 31 comments You are right Lethe, for some reason I wasn't seeing that the Spanish edition of the biography (which I also have in my to read shelf as I've read the English version) was listed in the same group. Please ignore the request to separate the Portuguese edition, and apologies for my error.

It's curious, but now I no longer see the catalog as an edition of the biography. I suppose perhaps it took the system a while to update?

Thank you both very much for your time and assistance with my requests.

Abcdarian | 26579 comments Separated out this one, which is clearly not the biography: Frida Kahlo

Fernanda Luppani (cachavacha) | 31 comments Great catch Abcdarian!

Maria | 17 comments I have another book that needs to be separated out. If I should do that in it's own thread, please let me know.

These two books have the same title, but are very different books. I have both of them checked out from my library right now; they contain different (and a different number of) stories. the first is not an updated version of the second. (I do not have copies of the other versions that have been combined here, so I cannot speak to them.)

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments #10 Can you describe the differences so we can make appropriate notes to stop them being accidentally re-combined in future?

message 12: by Maria (new)

Maria | 17 comments 1607108968 (ISBN13: 9781607108962) contains 4 stories (The Fall of the House of Usher, The Tell-Tale Heart, The Pit and the Pendulum, The Cask of Amontillado), has illustrations by Jessica Angiulli and Lucia Mondini, includes an additional 6 pop-ups with paper engineering by Alan Brown and Richard Ferguson, it is 58 pages. As far as I can tell, it's not an updated version of anything.

The item listed as ISBN 0517527421 (ISBN13: 9780517527429) (the copy in front of me says ISBN 0517527421, but that's another issue) is from 1976 and did have an updated edition, There are about 14 stories (only 2 of which overlap the other book), the illustrations are by Wilfried Satty, there a no pop-ups, it includes an introduction by Thomas Albright, there are 246 pages.
