2. Discuss the popularity of the book.

2. This book has been in print now continuously for forty years, what is its popular appeal? Haven’t things changed? Or do you disagree with this statement.

I really wonder if this book really is still popular but I will say that I am learning a lot about LSD that I did not know and I grew up during the years of LSD. The book reads like a who's who in the drug culture and literary world. I am looking a lot of stuff up on wikipedia. I enjoy the book so far except when they are doing their mind blowing stuff.

Kristel, like you, I found myself looking up a lot of the information and the characters on the internet. I wasn't around during that time, but my parents came of age then.

Not sure about the popularity as without this list I never would have heard of it. I have also learned a lot about LSD through reading this including that it wasn't illegal at the time which nowadays seems incredible.

The fact that it was not illegal really surprised me, too. I guess because it was so new and they had yet to see some of the more devastating side effects.
