Robert Rapoza | 12 comments Hi Sarah,

First, on behalf of all of the writers here, thank you for offering to read and review our books!

I have a book that crosses genres, it's an action adventure/thriller with very light sci-fi aspects (Think Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull). My book is The Bermuda Connection The Bermuda Connection and it's the second in a series. Here's a quick blurb to give you an idea of what it's about:

Archeologist Nick Randall is haunted by a recurring nightmare that may be tied to his controversial research. When he searches for answers, assassins nearly kill him, forcing him into hiding. Nick’s son, John, a talented Bioengineer, faces his own mystery. Having developed a drug that erases traumatic memories, his research partner disappears. While searching for him, mercenaries try to kidnap him and steal his research. John narrowly escapes, only to find he is now a wanted man.

Their paths cross when they are both drawn to a mysterious woman on the Island of Bermuda. Jamie Edmunds may hold the key to solving their mysteries, but others are searching for her as well. Caught between two deadly forces, Nick and John must help Jamie escape and unravel the riddle before their enemies find them. They discover clues that lead them from the murky waters of Bermuda, to the barren wastes of Antarctica. There, they make a discovery that will change mankind forever. The three are humanity’s only hope of preventing the forces of darkness from unleashing a horrific weapon on humanity.

If you're interested in reading it, I would be happy to gift you a copy from Amazon or to send you a PDF.

Thanks for considering,

Robert Rapoza

Groovy Lee Hi, Sarah

Thank-you for taking the time to help Indie authors by giving us those much-needed reviews. If you're not booked up for the next ten years, I'm seeking a review for my latest release, A Body Resurrected, a clean Kindle Thriller/Romance. If the blurb interests you, you can contact me at atreyhu3333@att.net, and I will gift you a copy. I've also included a Q&A with the characters in case you want to get to know them better:

Q&A Session:

It all starts with MIRA, a young Egyptian girl who is very devoted to her family. Her courageous spirit is kept under reigns by the dominance of her father. But when Weir, a bounty-hunter from the planet Aut, arrives to capture an escaped criminal, that spirit boldly breaks free, and she becomes his close ally in a fight against evil.

Q: So, Mira, you’re only sixteen, and yet, you have the courage that rivals that of an Egyptian soldier. How do you explain it?

A. Honestly, I did not know how courageous I could be until Weir came into my life. He is very handsome, I must say. Anyway, I was just a shepherd girl protecting my family’s sheep from growling predators. But when Weir appeared on this dangerous mission, I was determined to help my friend, no matter what.

Q. And against your father’s wishes, you went to the palace of Shakura without hesitation.

A. I did not mean to disobey Papa, but Weir needed me. The moment I had to confront that evil Pharaoh Demen, I almost collapsed from sheer fright, and for a second, I wished I was back home safely in my bed. But Weir is brave, and he has a big heart. I had to help him, or he would die.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
DEMEN, the escaped serial killer from Aut, is jet-black in color and stands over six feet. His talent for being clever and manipulative is the reason why, after crash landing in Egypt, he becomes the next Pharaoh of Shakura after the mysterious death of his predecessor. His hatred and disgust for the plague known as woman grows to the point of sheer madness until he possesses her spirit by the act of his murderous hands; afterwards, he’s left well spent and soaring high from the effect. Centuries later, when he gets a second chance to satisfy his savage urge, he vows that no bounty-hunter will ever get in his way again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
TINA LEGGS is a descendant of Mira. The word ‘lonely’ does not apply to her. She’s single by choice, and very close to her grandmother, Bitsy; which is why she has an antagonistic relationship with her cousin, Tiffany. The strength Tina inherited from Mira, coupled with dormant feelings of a love yet to be, comes to life when Q arrives.

Q. Tina, why are you constantly at odds with your cousin Tiffany?

A. She’s held a grudge against me since childhood for something I had no control over. And on top of that, she feels she has a right to take advantage of our grandmother. But, I won’t stand for it. Bitsy is not her personal ATM.

Q. When the mummified body of Demen first arrived at the museum you work for, did you have a clue your ancestor Mira is partly the reason for his condition?

A. I had no idea. I only know bits and pieces of her story handed down through generations by family members that she did something remarkable.

Q. And when Demen was revived, you had to pick up where she left off.

A. It wasn’t easy, believe me. But it seems I inherited her fearless courage, and that enabled me to help Q when it came time to face Demen. A real, live mummy! Who in their right mind would believe that?

Q. Speaking of Q—I guess it came as quite a shock when you realized the love of your life was a bounty-hunter from another planet.

A. The word, shock, doesn’t even begin to describe it. But, I’m not complaining. I knew from the moment I looked into those deep-violet eyes that he was one of a kind; and when his passionate charm and inner beauty encircled me in this ardent fortress, there was no doubt I would never be the same.

Q. When he leaves, will you go with him?

A. I don’t know. That’s such a hard question that I just don’t have an answer to. I have Bitsy to think about. We’ll see.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then there's Q, the second, very handsome bounty-hunter who, centuries later, has to pick up where Weir and Mira left off. He has deep-violet eyes, and a head of hair that deserves its own spot on the cover of GQ Magazine.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

BLURB:
Sixteen year-old Mira is an Egyptian girl who lives a quiet life in her small village in Lower Egypt 3303 B.C.E. But two visitors from the planet Aut are about to change that. The first “flying metal” that whips across the sky carries a murderous plague by the name of Demen. The second one that follows, brings a bounty-hunter named Weir. Against her father’s wishes, Mira becomes Weir’s accomplice in his mission to apprehend Demen before another woman dies by his hands.

But there’s a problem: Demen is now a powerful Pharaoh in the city of Sharkura. Will apprehending him cost Weir and Mira their lives?

Almay, California, USA, twenty-first century:

Tina Leggs oversees the artifacts and exhibits of the Graham-Arlee museum. She has no idea that the mummy exhibit that’s drawing huge crowds, is the same Demen that her ancestor, Mira, bravely faced centuries ago.

Demen is no longer a powerful Pharaoh. Now, he’s nothing more than a museum exhibit since he was discovered in the Valley of the Kings. But a rare occurrence will give him life once more. And his desire to kill the misery known as woman is as strong as ever.

Enter Q, a second bounty-hunter sent from Aut to capture him. Like Mira, Tina has been cast into the role of ally to this handsome visitor. Amid the destruction Demen is causing, and the risk to their lives to stop him, Tina comes to terms with the depth of her love for a man from a distant planet.

But, will she leave her family on Earth for the sake of that love?

Hope you are well.
My name is Jovan and here is the synopsis of my book-
Filled with humour and sensuality, the book weaves around a clash of egos, fiery tempers, wit, seduction, and passionate unions teaching the two people the ultimate meaning of love.
What happens when their fathers dupe two different minded people who cannot bear the sight of each other into an arranged marriage?
A wide variety of Indian marriage customs is showcased through this book. Also Indian games and festivals are intricately woven in the story which revolves around two individuals who are forced into a loveless marriage. Struck by a fatal conspiracy they enter into a mysterious web that takes not only them but the readers by surprise .
The vagaries of their relationship is highlighted which switches from mock amusement to vengeance, hatred, polite indifference, respect and finally a passionate love that lasts a lifetime…

Marco Etheridge | 5 comments Hi Sarah,

Would you be interested in reviewing a post-apocalyptic urban romance novel? My new novel is titled The Best Dark Rain. I would very much appreciate any review considerations.

The description:

There is precious little room for love in a dead city, a dead world. For not quite everyone died. Better if they had. Armed bands stalk the streets. In the shadows worse enemies prowl, horrible enemies. At the center of this bleak urban waste lies a makeshift fort. It is the refuge of Liz Walker and Pat O’Shea. They are the last living couple in the shell of what was once Seattle.

Here on these dead streets a woman and a man must learn to love and fight. They bear weapons scavenged from the dead. Each of them carries the shadow of a past that could threaten their future.

Amid murderous survivors and unlikely allies, the threat of hunters and the danger of trusting, Liz and Pat must battle for their lives. The stakes are high. For they must protect their new-found love as well as their lives. To lose either means to face alone this horrific world.

My book is available in multiple formats. If you are interested, please send me an email at:

Thank you for your consideration,
