Ilona | 4698 comments Hi Bridget, which one do you like better, the Bane Chronicles or The Mortal Instruments series? I have only read the last one, and am in doubt whether to read the books about Magnus Bane.

I can't say I liked one over the other really. It was good to know more about Magnus but it wasn't a favorite. It's worth at least seeing if you can find the individual stories and trying to read one or two of them to see if you want to go further. :-)

Alicia (karalena) | 257 comments you have read a lot of the ones I have read or plan to read, I had trouble with the last book of the Mortal Instruments series though.

For me, the final book was the best. I think the main issue I have with her books is that she does a lot of fillers and her books could be at least 100 pages shorter

I found that absolutely true, I finished that series and I have not picked up another one of her books since.

I've read the infernal devices and bane chronicles. I also have the bind up of the Shadow hunters Academy (Simon). I thought about going on to the other series but I'm still not sure.
