I've read the first one a few years back and can't remember much. I want to read the whole series though haha.Have you?
Never started it! Maybe we can buddy read the whole series. I'll have to see if I can get them all as easily as I got the first one
Alright :) But just saying I don't really like to read my books in a row. We'll see though because I'm planning other books as well, so we'll just see how things go.I'd be totally keen to read the whole series though, I'd have to get them from my library too.
Lol, maybe we can space out our reading of the whole series so that it's not too close together for you. I've got lots of other books to read too ;)
Alright yes please that works. Just by the way I'm going away for a month from the 22nd Dec - 14th Jan, and I'm not sure how much reading I'll do.
I won't be starting this one tomorrow sorry. It'll be a few days. I'm only 30% into my current read, and I'm at work all day tomorrow, and Sunday Monday I'm spending with my boyfriend. Hhhhmmmm I'll just see what I can do lol.
Could we change it to the 5th or 6th maybe? Because I've got another br starting on the 8th. I'm just going to start this one whenever I can really :p
That's fine too lol. I'll change the date for the 5th but if it takes you a little longer to get to it no worries :)
Cool thanks :) I've got around 100 pages left of my current book, so I might actually even get it finished today, which would be amazing XD
8% through. (view spoiler)I've read this book before, so I know some things :p I'll keep to myself though. Glad I've gotten to this book :)
Ah! I can start tonight too :) Just finished my Movie Night book. I'll let you know my initial thoughts soon!
Of course I stopped last night RIGHT BEFORE we learn about Fablehaven! :PSo now through chapter 5, and (view spoiler) Now that we know so many secrets are going on, I wonder what's REALLY going on with the grandma!
You've read quite a bit!I'm almost at the end of Chapter 2. Can't wait to read your spoilers! I might get there today, I might not. I'll just see lol. Boyfriend's over for a few days, and not sure when he's going home. Tuesday when I go to work, I think :p I'll try and get it finished on Thursday. I'm really liking it though.

I read quite a bit today, like 80 pages, without sprinting, so I'm proud :) I'll try read a bit more tomorrow as well, but I won't get any serious reading done until probably Wednesday.
Just finished! This one was 4 stars for me until near the end. (view spoiler)
5 stars! And definitely anticipating the next book in the series. Don't know that I'll be able to wait for a buddy read for it ;)
Oh no you need to wait for me!! Pleeeease! I'm still around 35% through, but I'll get it finished on Wednesday. But then after this I have a BR on the 8th which I might start early, and then another on the 12th, but I might be able to start this one in a week and a bit? Is that alright?Dammit not many updates to go on :/ That's kinda why I stopped XD Coz I like the updates to motivate me, I use them at checkpoints. And now I only have a final one lol.
Lol! Sorry! I finished all in one chunk. I got to a certain place and just couldn't put it down! It was Midsummer's Eve. I was interested to see how horrific the imagery would get since I considered this series written for a target audience of tweens. At least it's a pretty short book and an easy read!
Yeah I really am enjoying it :) I want to finish it for sure, the series. Are you okay to wait for me?
I will wait for you! :) I have some other things I can read in the meantime. You said maybe starting the 2nd book in a week and a bit...would the 15th sound good to you? If that's too much with your other BRs we can always wait a bit longer, no worries
Na 15th works :) I'll finish Fablehaven tomorrow probably, then I can get early into The Last Star, which I'll have 4 days to read anyway, and then can start Midnight Star early. But then I might also have another br to fit in there somewhere XD Not sure.
I really liked the experiences the kids have while (view spoiler)Read after the thing with the chicken --> (view spoiler)
Read after the kids visit Muriel --> (view spoiler)
Read after they visit the next creature --> (view spoiler)
Chicken (view spoiler)They've just visited Muriel, and grandma's just come back. I'll read the next spoiler after my next sprint.
Awesome finished it :) I'll write up my review tomorrow, and I'll try and make it detailed. I'm trying to actually properly review my books now. Well most of them anyway.
Maddison wrote: "Next creature [spoilers removed]"Lol! I definitely started to get more into it around Midsummers Eve, but here with the creature it started feeling reminiscent of a Rick Riordan book :) I definitely didn't find it boring though! ;)
I'll make the next thread and post the link back here!
Review: Oh Kendra. Kendra, Kendra, Kendra. You are the true heroine of this story. I love the way Kendra looked at things logically and didn't rush into anything the way Seth did. Kendra was, to me, a typical 13 year old girl, not one of those really annoying defiant rebellious girls who think they know everything. Kendra followed the rules, thought rationally and still never had to actually fight. She left that up to beings who knew how. I thought it was incredibly smart of her to figure out (view spoiler) I also loved the way she used her smarts to (view spoiler) She's such a smart cautious girl, a role model to me. Not one of these annoying YA characters these days.I loved the world building, the magical creatures, and imagination that went into this book. The occassional picture was really cool as well, helped the story come to life. I like all of the different dimensions to the fairies, their spite, their revenge, their vanity, but their overall loyalty when it came to (view spoiler) I suppose that too was only because of the Fairy Queen, but I liked that.
The whole knot thing was really cool too, the fact that (view spoiler) There were actually heaps of awesome things in this book, especially Hugo and Mendigo and all of the other creatures.
Totally agree!!!! I think I liked Kendra so much because I could relate to her. I was her as a kid. Although I doubt I could have stepped up the way she did and (view spoiler)
Calling them was easy though. The Fairy Queen did that. I just didn't like how she made them drink the milk so quickly.
