Roman Payne (roman-payne) | 1 comments Anyone interested in "very advanced" discussion (in English) about Homer's Odyssey ?

Tamara Agha-Jaffar Hi Roman,
I saw your post and decided to join the group because I'm intrigued by your post.
I have published three books, all of them focusing on women in mythology. My first book, Demeter and Persephone: Lessons from a Myth is a feminist analysis of the Homeric Hymn to Demeter. My second book, Women and Goddesses in Myth and Sacred Text, examines the role of women in various religious texts and indigenous cultures. My third book and first novel, A Pomegranate and the Maiden retells the story of the Demeter/Persephone myth through the first person voices of the characters involved. The novel is available in paperback and Amazon Kindle. I will be releasing my second novel, Unsung Odysseys in January 2017 on Amazon Kindle. It is a re-telling of Homer's Odyssey through the voices of the women involved in his return journey to Ithaca and its aftermath.
I am passionate about mythology and write a blog on learning from myths on my website at www.tamaraaghajaffar.com
I am not sure I understand what you mean by a "very advanced" discussion on Homer's Odyssey. But if my background and feminist leanings make me a suitable candidate for the discussion, let me know because I am interested in participating. I love analyzing characters in myths and breathing life into them.
Thanks.
