Cathy and I are reading (in my case rereading) the series, and I keep finding new details. I've been listening to the series again this reread, and keep loving Kobna's work as everyone.

Foxglove Summer was the first one I listened to. Loved it. I would love to start Hanging Tree right away, I have a spare audible credit. Trying hard to wait till our scheduled buddy read.... *sigh*

ha! I'm not a big audio fan--I have a really hard time maintaining attention and with pace--but I love Kobna's reading. He really finds his groove with the series by Whispers Underground, and I love all the voices, especially as an American. I get a much better feel for some of the cultural differences.

I re-read the series on a regular basis. I've read "Lies Sleeping" 3 times since I got it in November. :)

Hi all - been looking online for some Rivers of London groups and stumbled across this one - looks really interesting from what I've seen. I feel pretty late to the series - just about to start Book 4 - I can't wait!

so happy that i realised that False Value is coming soon. now the challenge is deciding - do I read it first or listen first?

...obviously i'll do both...more than once. already restarted the audiobooks series. it's really important to make sure the new earbuds work not because i'm addicted to the series at all

You know, the last one, I listened AND read, taking turns for each. It was slow going but I kind of liked it.

Did you end up reading and listening to the same parts or just once for each section either reading or listening?

Nothing quite planned, I don't think. I read, then listened, since reading can go so much faster for me. I like to listen in my car, but I might have listened on dog walks as well, to speed up the pace, since my commute isn't that long.

I ended up only listening to Lies Sleeping. I want to go back and read the text to fully appreciate some Peter's many digressions.

I only own the audio copies of all of them. I suspect if I were to read, I will still have Kobna's voice in my head but I am now quite tempted to try.

I actually do hear Kobna’s voice when I read the books because I’ve listened to them more than I’ve read them.

I had heard about the possible tv series. Aaronovitch and Pegg&Frost were writing, but who knows if any distributor will bite? I hope so, and I also worry, since tv necessitates changes to material.

Hi everyone, been a fan of these ever since I started reading Rivers of London in a Waterstones in my lunchbreak, and was late back to work... Not a fan of the GN (sorry), and the novellas always seem a bit expensive for what they are, but have lost count of the number of times I've read the novels.

I'm currently reading The Strings of Murder which I think fellow RoL fans will also like! It's set in Edinburgh during the Victorian era, with two policemen investigating what we would know as 'weird bollocks'. It's more occult than magic, but if anyone is looking for something to read it may be worth checking out :)
